Overall good experience

Based on the reviews I read, I was actually impressed after I got there. It was better than expected. I had a booking snafu that was my fault and was unable to get a hotel closer to the event I was in town to attend because they were all sold out. This was one of the few hotels available for the night I needed. I would never pay the rate I had to pay if I hadn't been pressed for a room on short notice. However, I would stay there again with a more economical rate. While it was not extremely convenient in location to where I needed to be on public transportation, given enough time to travel to and fro and with planning, it was not horrible. It was about 5-7 blocks from the subway line I needed. It's a block from the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (above ground expressway), so if the sound of cars whooshing by all day and night is an issue, this may not be the place to stay. Was not a problem for me. The rooms were clean, comfortable. Some upkeep is needed (carpet slightly soiled, doors need paint). It's a decent place to stay if you will not be in the room all day. I was there for one overnight--didn't spend much time in the room. The room was clean, and it's a good place to shower and bunk for the night. I didn't use WiFi, so I can't speak on the service. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is very limited (no lot)--but was not an issue for me because I was on public transportation.

I would recommend Sleep Inn Brooklyn

The hotel was easy to find eventhough it was tucked away in a residetial neighborhood. The staff was extremely helpful and there was constantly cleaning by the staff to maintain the hotel. The only downside is that the air conditioner didn't work properly but I was able to get it to work after repeated attempts. I was promised a view of the Statue Of Liberty but it was blocked by the hotel itself but there was still a nice view of Manhatten. Hotel is a nice leisure 7 block stroll to the N & R train

Pros: Only location to the local hospital that we needed it for.
Cons: Could improve on the breakfast area as it was quite limited. Rooms are small and carpet needs replacing.
Location: The surrounding neighbourhood isn't great so they should move the hotel. Not a lot to do nearby, it really is a base to sleep in.
We had to book this as we were visiting a sick relative at the nearby hospital so it was purely on location we had to use this hotel. The hotel is set back from a noisy freeway and amongst a industrial neighbourhood.

Not worth your money

Parking was an issue, the room smelled, breakfast was not good. For the amount paid one can find a better place to sleep.

A little tlc from owner

Owner could try to smile and be a little more hospitable when his guests check in at the front desk. After all we are there and keeping his hotel going. He acted like he was doing us a favor.
