Great location and friendly staff

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Great location. Easy walking distance to many shops and sites. Rooms are a good size (compared with NYC standards). Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: The A/C in both of the rooms I stayed in was quite loud. Roads around the hotel could be very congested because of the Holland Tunnel traffic.
Location: The little deli around the corner on Grand Street, a half block from the hotel, is a great place to get an egg & cheese on a roll and coffee.
I stayed at the Soho Grand two different times over the course of two weeks & enjoyed my stay. I usually stay at the Standard East Village. The hotel staff at the Soho Grand were much friendlier (except for the concierge staff & guys helping with luggage and taxis, who were equally helpful at both hotels).

Good location, friendly staff

We enjoyed our stay. Good location, staff very attentative and helpful. Breakfast wonderful but a little pricey. Room was nice but smaller side (but expected for NYC). View was fabulous. Lobby area very dark. Music too loud in Restuarant at night when DJ there. Overall though happy with accomodations.

Swank hotel in Soho

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Bar, view, service
Cons: The pics make it look like there is a rooftop but it's only accessible if you're staying in the penthouse. A bit misleading.
Location: Walking distance to NYU, Washington Sq, even Times Square if you like a longer walk. Easy taxi to East and West Village.
I really enjoyed my stay here. Great bar and scene. Rooms have been upgraded but still have an old charm.

Wonderful service in an upscale environment

I would definitely stay here again. The standout of the experience is the level of staff and how invested each one seemed to be in providing top notch service.

This was a great hotel the location was perfect. We walked to little Italy, the village, and to city winery for a show. The staff is great. Bar tenders not great but everyone else was very accommodating.

Location great.

Sink and tub drain poorly, smallest hotel seat ever, ac noisy, slow bartending. Fantastic downtown location for shopping and restaurants. Subway easy. Second floor front desk a pain.

Was expecting better.

Service was average for this kind of hotels, and my room had so many problems: a bed side lamp that wouldn't work, a leaking pipe under the bathroom sink, and a clogged bath tub.
