Close to Citi Field, and thats about it

I booked this due to going to concerts at Citi Field. I chose this hotel due to being withon walking distance to the venue. I was a little worried as the neighborhood is not ideal. However their were NYPD at all intersections so it was not too bad walking to and from the venue. Unfortunately there are no restaurants in walking distance so plan ahead.
The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The room has a mini frig and microwave.
The morning breakfast was just ok. The food they had was over cooked and dry leaving only cereal and waffles. There was no fruit or other options.
The hotel staff was okay. I arrived at 2:30 pm after waiting 35 minutes for the hotel shuttle from the airport. I arrived and was told check-in was not until 3pm. The person waiting on me said let me see whats ready. They had my room ready so I am not sure why the hassle, especially with this hotel being part of the Marriott chain, I would expect better.
If you are in town and going to a game or event at Citi-Field, then this might be a good fit.
There is valet only parking for 22.00 a day in case you are driving. I kind of wish there were other things to do on site, as there is no pool. I am not even sure if there was a fitness center on site either.
I gave this hotel a 4 out of 5 on condition as the drink machine was broken and the ice machine almost had no ice left. I just got a little which was all that came out. I did report these items to the front desk, but the person seemed like he didn't care.
