Good hotel in central location
Posted Dec 4, 2016
Central location - 5 minutes walk from Empire State Building. However, this meant it could be noisy. Comfortable room, not big but had everything we needed. Staff, both 'front of house' and domestic were always friendly and welcoming. Limited options for eating - breakfast is available in the hotel, and there is a restaurant through an interconnecting door serving meals from breakfast throughout the day. But, contradicting the information in the room, this is run as a separate business and money spend here cannot be charged to your room. We ate both breakfast and evening meals there and food was good and staff attentive. If you want to save money (compared to a taxi)getting to/from JFK, Penn station is a 10 minute walk away (with luggage) giving access via Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) and Skytrain.
