Nice hotel near Times Square

Posted Aug 31, 2015
Pros: The bed, the quietness, and the small library off the lobby.
Cons: The elevators could be improved.
Location: Broadway shows are close - 5 to 15 minute walk.
We were happy with the bed, which was comfortable, and the sound level, which was quiet. There are two elevators that are not on the same signaling system. They are slow to arrive. The room was pretty small, and the bathroom was small as well. No coffee in the room, but plenty in the lobby. Overall, we found the Iroquois pleasant, but not fantastic. We did not eat in the restaurant. It seemed quite expensive to us. They have free wifi, which we used and appreciated.

Great 'Goldilock's hotel - it's just right

Posted Aug 30, 2015
Pros: Location, friendly atmosphere, decor, Molton Brown toiletries, Frette bedding and bathrobes
Cons: Lighting in the rooms is very low key, and the water pressure in the showers could do with improvement.
Location: Very close to Grand Central Station, Bryant Park, Times Square, the best of Broadway and also Herald Square shopping is only a short walk away
This was our second stay at The Iroquois, and we'll definitely be back for a third. The hotel has everything you could want for New York, and it's perfectly located to be just the right distance from everywhere you could care to visit. It has an old-world charm that's reinforced as soon as you walk up the stairs into the reception area, where you have the Triomphe Restaurant on your right and the quaint library to your left. A welcoming coffee or iced water are available as you enter. We found reception prompt and attentive, and our only slight issue with the housekeeping schedule was quickly resolved with a polite follow up from the general manager, something you won't get in a lot of New York hotels! The turn-down service comes a little early but the results are worth it. All in all, this is our favourite New York hotel and we've stayed in plenty. Highly recommended.

Affordable luxury close to everything

Close enough to Times Square, upscale shopping & multi subway lines without the crazy crowds or loud traffic. I was on the 3rd floor, heard nothing. Hallways are unique configuration, not like chain hotels. All the staff I dealt with was very pleasant & attentive - within 10 minutes of settling into our room, the front desk called to ensure everything met my satisfaction & upon returning from our event they had left chocolates on our pillows, completed a turn down service & left a memo concerning elevator ability for check out (maintenance on 1 of 2). Most places would at best post a sign informing guests of possible disruptions. Iroquois goes that extra step to make your stay personal & welcoming...making you feel at home; which makes sense when you read the hotel's history as an apartment hotel. Also, in all the 4 star hotels I've stayed at in the past 4 years that stated a robe in the room's amenities I've never once been able to locate it in my room. However, the Iroquois provided 2 Frette robes along with bathroom linens. That inclusion put a smile on my face. The Iroquois is a hotel you can trust that what they put in their description is what you will get/experience during your stay. I only wish we had a longer stay in NYC as we were only in town one night, but the Iroquois will get my business in the future. I do not need to stay anywhere else in the city. The price was incredible for all that I mentioned above. Thank you for the wonderful service & stay!

Perfect location to times square.

Perfect little boutique hotel. Clean and inviting. Staff was friendly and very efficient. Room was small but decorated nicely. Beds were incredibly plush and it was like sleeping on a cloud. Bathroom was exceptionally clean. Complimentary decanter of ice cold fresh fruit water in lobby greeted you from a hot day in the city street. Nice touch! It was beyond my expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room service coffee was right on time for morning, along with the daily paper. Turn down service with a wonderful little treat was a perfect touch. On sight bar and restaurant looked inviting but we did not partake as we had other plans for dinner. A diner for breakfast is just 3 doors down and was perfect for a quick breakfast. We will speak of this trip for a long time to come. Well done Iroquois!

Close to Times Square and Grand Central

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: The comfort of the room and the quiet (NYC hotels can be very noisy). The staff were also very nice.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of.
Location: Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Shopping, Grand Central Station.
Rooms were very clean and had luxury décor. They were also extremely quiet. The hotel staff was super friendly, helpful and professional. It was a close walk to Times Square and Rockefeller Plaza (we were there for the Today Show). It was also a quick walk to and from Grand Central Station. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Friendly, helpful staff and rooms were very well kept. Rooms were slightly on the small side but to be expected in New York.

Excellent choice close to theaters and 5th Avenue

Posted Aug 10, 2015
Cons: Only improvement I can think of would be to have a fan in the bathroom. There was a fan on the ceiling but no way to turn it on.
My daughter, one of her friends, and I had a wonderful two-night stay at The Iroquois. The room was very nice and comfortable with an updated bathroom. The room was cozy, but I expect that in NYC. The staff provided excellent service. I would stay there again!

Nice and quiet hotel

Posted Aug 10, 2015
Pros: Location and style of hotel
The Iroquois is a small cozy hotel. Walking distance to Times Square, Grand Central station, Rockefeller Center and 5th Avenue. What we really liked about it was that it was located on a quieter street but you were still able to walk to many attractions within minutes. The rooms are smaller than your average hotel room but very nice and clean. Would recommend this hotel to all my friends.

A perfect location close to Times Square

Just off of Times Square, the Iroquois offerd an excellent location on a slightly quieter street. The staff was always friendly and helpful, and the rooms, although small, were perfectly clean and comfortable.
