Smallest room everPosted Sep 15, 2015
The room was literally as wide as the bed. No closet no desk no chair. The AC was blowing right onto the bed, it was placed right by it not even 4" away. The room was side by side with one of the elevators so I would constantly hear them going up and down.

Pros: Great roof terrace.
Cons: I had trouble adjusting the shower water temperature.
I was on the 8th floor facing the street and it was still noisy until early AM.

Decent accommodationPosted Sep 14, 2015
Pros: Good location
Cons: Soundproofing of walls, windows, doors and everything else. It felt like I was sleeping on the street. Upgrade bathrooms, flooring, business center
Location: Very central. Easy access to all major landmarks and public transportation.
Extremely noisy. A mixture of modern with old that makes the experience just ok.

Friendly staff!Posted Sep 4, 2015
Pros: Friendly and helpful staffs!
Upon arrival, we were welcomed by very friendly, great staffs! Loved our stay, great location, too. Great to have coffee at the lounge on the 10th floor, with free wi-fi. My daughter used the lounge a lot. We even used the outside patio by the lounge to have a chinese take out dinner one night. Lovely view of the Empire State Building. It was very nice of them that to have given me the same room when it was just me staying, even though I booked a separate smaller room. I would come back to this hotel again, and recommend this hotel to my friends! Just one thing... size of the rooms. It was 3 of us staying in 2 double bed room - the room was not big enough for 2 double beds, and with our big suitcases, I had hard time getting around in the room. My husband stayed in one double bed room for three nights, and it was also small. It must have been hard for house keepers to make beds in the room...

Stylisches Hotel mitten in ManhattanPosted Aug 28, 2015

Bad experiencePosted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: Much better options elsewhere
Cons: Upgrade of air conditioners
Location: We didn't do anything nearby as we checked in late and left early
We stayed one night but cancelled our 8 nights stay once we had stayed. We tried to contact Expedia to cancel but were travelling and couldn't get coverage. Still gave the hotel 30 hours notice once able to make phone call. They said to contact Expedia which we tried to do, they were busy so we left message and when they rang back 1 hour later we were cut off trying to tell them about our experience. When we went back to pick up luggage they charged us for an extra nights stay each even tho the receptionist said she had managed to on sell two of our rooms. The room itself was noisy and very small. Air con rattled and rolled all night, carpet sticky.

Good location, rooms too small.Posted Aug 18, 2015
Cons: Get central air conditioning and do something about the noise. Bathrooms were small too.
The location was great because it was close to our sons apartment and school but our room was too small. The pictures were deceiving. The outside noise sounded like our window was open and also the no central air conditioning. There was a cooling unit which worked great but very noisy while it was on. The friendly staff were great and the upstairs lounge was good for us for coffee access in the morning. Did not need to go to Starbucks.

Magnificent MarcelPosted Aug 17, 2015
Great hotel at a very reasonable price(thanks Expedia). Knowledgeable staff (Arvin you rock) about the closest stores (liquor and grocery just around the corner) to pick up goodies for a late afternoon snack, for a quick get together with friends on the Hotel's roof -10 stories up - inside and outside seating - unobstructed views-ice and glasses provided. Most important clean room and very comfortable bed. Black out curtain great for keeping the morning sun out however a privacy curtain would have been nice as lighting in the room was marginal.
