Convenient for Times SquarePosted Oct 9, 2015
Pros: Friendly, central, clean, and little extras like coffee/fruit/crisps/iced water available was appreciated.
Cons: I guess some hot/savoury items for breakfast would be nice, (bacon to to on the bagels/hot eggs rather than cold) but very minor point.
Location: Very close to Times Square and theatre district (lovely to be able to walk back from theatre at night, but restaurants therefore a bit tatty,.
A relatively small hotel, friendly and very convenient/central. Just round the corner from Times Square (which is brash/scruffy and very busy - obviously) but also for all theatres and subway, and as we didn't want to travel on subway much in to the evening, was perfect. Good, plentiful breakfast (cold, continental, so not ideal if you have to have your bacon and eggs, but if you have a sweet tooth like me, great!) Lovely fresh fruit salad every day, cereal, yogs, pastries, bagels, doughnuts, muffins etc., and juice/coffee - all as much as you could eat in a very relaxed, lounge atmosphere. Coffee available during the day if wanted, and always lovely iced water/apples and crisps to take out from reception on your way out. We also had a "mini kitchen" in our room (not specially requested) with coffee maker/microwave/fridge and sink, which was really useful. We had a high room, as requested, as we though it would probably be lighter than those on the lower floors, and it was light and much more spacious than we had expected for a hotel in central New York. Free Safe and use of dressing gowns and slippers (not that we did, but a nice touch). Use of computer/printer to organise our check in for return journey, and reception staff very helpful.

Fantastic LocationPosted Oct 7, 2015
A personable hotel, small in comparison but with all of the facilities of the bigger chain venues. Located two small blocks from Times Square it was great to get about from - would not hesitate to give it a recomendation to others.

Excellent hotel 2 blocks from Time SquarePosted Oct 7, 2015
Cons: 2 toasters
Location: Off Time Square on a relatively quiet street
The name is correct, this place was a real Pearl. Great room. Very good size for New York. Everything in it you could want including a fridge and a microwave. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Most unlike New York. Tarif included breakfast this was a continental style, the fruit salad was all fresh and really nice. The toaster was bit slow, a minor criticism on what was a very enjoyable stay. Thoroughly recommendable hotel with an excellent position for exploring Down Town

Amazing HotelPosted Oct 6, 2015
A very nice hotel in midtown Manhattan, right off times square you can't get any better than that! the hotel makes you feel like you aren't apart of a big city (which is a nice break from being out and about all day) I will definitely go back if I ever head back to NYC!!

Very nice Hotel great big soft bed.Posted Oct 5, 2015
Great hotel just 1 block off time square. Clean and tidy very big soft bed great choice by my wife. The free cheese and wine is a fantastic idea as it brings everyone together in the afternoon to talk about the day and what to see and best places to go. Well done Pearl hotel. *****

Hard to Find Anything AmissPosted Oct 3, 2015
Pros: Location, staff, ambiance.
Location: Theater, dining
Located in the upper theatre district, directly across from the "Book of Mormon", The Pearl is all you could want in a non-five star property. The staff were among the best we have encountered marked by efficiency and professional attitude at every contact. The rooms were clean, well-furnished, and reasonably large. The breakfast, as advertised, was typical pastry, cereal, milk, fruit and drinks. All were of decent quality and ample. Car service was offered at even the most ungodly hours and was very reasonable. The business center was physically small but was fully equipped and the manager offered use of his office set-up should I not find what I needed, at 1:30 AM! I had all I needed. Location is excellent, especially for the foodie , as the 10th Ave (Hell's Kitchen) restaurants are an easy walk. La Bernadin is three blocks away. We walked, comfortably, to the theaters we were attending. The attached (but apparently unrelated) restaurant provided one excellent and one unsatisfactory dinner so consider with care. This was our first stay at The Pearl but will not be our last.
