Classy hotel

Pros: The location is great and the hotel is just fabulous
Easy to find. Got there by subway and the hotel is on 5th avenue where all the posh shops are. We went for a run in Central Park. The staff is friendly and we asked for an iron. Everything was perfect. Would come here again.

Great hotel in the centre of Midtown

Posted Sep 1, 2015
Pros: The Hotel staff were extremely professional, and friendly. The room was fantastic, with a 42 inch HD TV (with over 50 channels) and a huge King Bed.
Cons: Unfortunately, the swimming pool was not in use during our stay
Location: Located on 5th and 55th, you are surrounded by all the top high street shops. Times Square is a few minutes walk along with a range of restaurants.
Overall, an excellent experience with The Peninsula in New York. Upon arrival, we were had our room upgraded which was an unexpected bonus. The hotel itself was stunning and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The Concierge was (as you would expect) very knowledgeable and a great help in recommending transportation and restaurants. The location was great - right on 5th Ave, having all the top high street shops on our doorstep, and a huge range of restaurants within walking distance, as well as Times Square not too far away. The rooftop bar provided great views of 5th Ave, though it does get very busy - we couldn't get a table on a Friday evening (should have booked ahead!) The Lounge Bar was a great place to start or end the night for a quiet drink, and handy for a quick bite to eat if you were short on time.

Elegant and classic hotel on 5th Avenue in New Yor

Posted Sep 1, 2015
Elegant and classic hotel right on 5th Avenue and 55th street W, very close to the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) and the Rockefeller Center . Comfortable rooms with great bathrooms, but there is no individual regulation of the room temperature (one can only modify the intensity of a centrally regulated air conditioning). Guests need to be aware that the hotel has several staircases inside, e.g. to reach the restaurant and the lobby/ reception level. There is an elevator, but only if needed. Attentive staff and the Concierge is excellent. The dinner and service at the hotel restaurant Clement were excellent while the breakfast was standard. This hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to the Broadway theaters which is a very nice gesture.

Great luxury hotel for Shopping and Broadway Shows

Posted Aug 31, 2015
The Peninsula is very lovely. The staff is very gracious and accommodating. The hotel is on 55th and 5TH Avenue. It is near Valentino on Fifth AVE. It is very close to many NY deli's and a short walk to Rockerfeller Center or Times Square. A five minute ride to the theatre. We stayed in a a very lovely room in which we found to be spacious and very comfortable. We really found the bed comfortable and the linens were fantastic. I plan on buying them myself. The bathroom was beautiful! I especially loved The television and stereo in there. The staff very eager to please. The rooftop bar beautiful but closed too early, at about 12:30.

NYC birthday treat

Posted Aug 31, 2015
Came to New York from England for my Birthday weekend. Excellent hotel, staff were all fantastic, very friendly and incredibly helpful and polite. Would definitely recommend. Only slight downside was that there were no tea and coffee making facilities in our room and we thought that 25 dollars for a pot of tea was very excessive. Overall though I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again

Nicest hotel ever...

Posted Aug 30, 2015
Pros: Location, room size, comfort and amenities.
Cons: Nothing
The Peninsula is a fabulous hotel in a prime location a few blocks from Central Park, St. Patrick's Cathedral and a very nice shopping area. The hotel was roomy, comfortable and had lavish accommodations. Both my wife and I felt it was the nicest hotel we have every stayed including other expensive hotels in NYC. We even saw two members of the band AC/DC as we were taking a cab to the airport. The hotel and the attentive staff made us feel like we were VIP's>
