Beautiful Hotel in a great part of the city

My friends and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Redbury Hotel. The interior is stunning, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was nothing short of polite and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone when coming to New York, and I would definitely stay with them again. Thank you!

Good location. Easy to get around from.

Pros: Location is excellent. The restaurant is excellent. The staff were very helpful and attentive.
Location: Easy to get to the theatre on two occasions; close proximity to the Metro; enjoyed MOMA ; The Whitney Museum of Modern Art; One Tower; NBC Tour.
We did several things in New York during our short stay. In part, this was due to the comfortable stay at the Redbury. We will definitely consider a return stay on our next trip to New York.

wouldn't rush back.

Confusion at the front desk when checking in. I was going to be charged $50 for an early check in however a fellow traveller, checking in at the same time was not. Had she not been checking in at the same time, I would have been charged a fee others were not. There was mildew throughout the tub area. Needs to provide better clarity regarding breakfast. I was directed to the lounge for morning coffee which is served beside the continentalk breakfast. The menu states charges for a la carte items but not the continental breakfast. Had I known the yoghurt and banana was going to cost $20 I would have gone to Starbucks down the street.

Good value at a great location.

Small clean room, great staff, close to Empire State bldg, great value for the money but wifi didn't work in all parts of the room. Staff tried to move the router closer but that didn't help. Not many places just to hang out in the lobby. We would stay there again.

great location, dirty windows

Cons: clean the windows and fix the shower door when told about the leak, oh and offer hot tea in the morning not just coffee
The redbury is a good hotel, the queen room is small but it is Manhattan after all. The shower leaked whenever I took one and water pooled on the bathroom floor and I would have to use all the towels to sop it up. My window was so dirty on the outside it was hard to see out of. The decor is great and having Marta as the restaurant is fantastic.

Really bad service

They booked us in a room which was booked to someone else already. Then they booked us for 2 nights instead of 1. There was no door to the shower and a the water was coming out while bathing.

Slightly away from it all but handy for subway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the room was compact, but that's the norm for rooms in NYC - there was enough space for us. Bathroom and Room were very clean and tidied every day with fresh towels and linens when required. We didn't use any of the facilities so can't comment, but the staff were extremely friendly and helpful printing tickets and boarding passes on request. Whilst not right at the centre of everything (20 minute walk to Times Square) we found this a bonus, as you felt more rested getting away from the hussle and bustle - the subway very handy and made transfers to and from airport using air train very easy.

Pros: Although room a bit small it did the job. As we were sightseeing we only really slept in the room.
Location: The location was good. Very near the Empire state building and 2 blocks away from the hop on hop off bus.
Nice hotel very friendly staff. Great location for a few days in New York.

We loved the location.

The hotel was not luxurious but was perfect for our needs. We had a rim with a king size bed which was a nice comfortable space. The bed was very comfortable. The price was right . The halls could have been cleaner and there were some stains on our carpet but overall the room was clean and I would stay there again.
