Very Disappionted

Posted Dec 28, 2016
Pros: Location of the hotel
The top consideration for choosing this hotel was the location, price, and overall customer reviews. However, I was a little disappointed after checked into the hotel. Unfortunately, I booked to stay 5 nights at the hotel. I missed the fine print about $31USD/day for facility fee. The hotel lobby is nice. The room itself is ok; however, pillows are very uncomfortable and the washroom is very small. The check-in staff gave out all the wrong information. For example, she told us breakfast is included; however, we later found out it's not. Also, afternoon complimentary wine is for weekdays only, not everyday. The hotel should train the front desk better and give guests a list of the details upon check-in.

Great hotel, horrible service fee policy

Posted Dec 27, 2016
Hotel, room, staff and location was near perfect. However Roger Hotel has a policy of charging a DAILY non-optional service fee of $31 for WiFi, a gym we didnt even know existed, let alone used, and for the telephone in the room. Total rip-off that totally destroyed our opinion of the hotel. We were there for two days for a total of $62 plus taxes for service fees on totally useless unnecessary "services."

Great hotel,

Lovely hotel, great decor, comfy beds, great location. Easily get to broadway and Times Square, metro was close, lots within walking distance, safe neighbourhood. I didn't eat in the hotel restaurant, the bar area was cozy. Don't get the room service, it was really expensive and not worth it.

Lovely Midtown hotel but missing a few touches

Posted Dec 15, 2016
We stayed here in December as a treat for my wife, the rooms are very well decorated and, I think, reasonably spacious for New York. The room came with a safe, ironing board and hairdryer as you'd expect but instead of a small kettle there was an array of overly expensive snacks and sweets - complementary tea/coffee is available in the Reception, but, as we were on the 9th floor this didn't feel particularly convenient The bed was huge and very comfortable, the shower was not powerful but good all the same. The walls are a little thin, if we were sitting in bed watching tv we could hear next doors tv louder than our own and whoever was next door watched tv til gone midnight and turned it on again at around 6am. There was a little noise from the street - but nothing too disturbing or unexpected for Midtown. The breakfast buffet is quite good, there's a decent selection of cereals, fruits and cooked breakfast items, although we felt it was overpriced at $30 each and probably aimed at business travellers who can expense it. We checked out at 9am and left our cases securely as we weren't being picked up until 4pm, we were a little disappointed that there was no facility to change out of our winter / day clothes - we had to change in a busy washroom - we weren't the only ones either - so perhaps something for the hotel to consider. Having said all of the above, the hotel is very nice, it's in a great location - 5 mins to 5th Ave and Empire State and abt 15-20 mins to Times Sq.

Lovely hotel, great location

Posted Dec 13, 2016
Cons: Extortionate price for breakfast
Location: FIfth avenue and Empire State Building in your doorstep
Lovely hotel, close to Fifth Avenue and Empire State Building, but easy access to all NYC attractions. Hotel staff are very friendly and there is a free wine hour everyday, free coffee in the morning.

Good customer service

Posted Nov 13, 2016
I had to cancel stay due to family issue - called expedia the night before stay and learned that the room was not refundable. The hotel was contacted and they made an exception and refunded the entire amount. I will definitely stay here on my next trip - great customer service. Thank you.

Superb Stay!

Posted Nov 10, 2016
Location: Very central. Lots to do. Its NYC so never too far from the action
We were 3 girlfriends staying in a 2x double room. Great location. Fabulous staff (especially Ian). Very comfortable beds. My only gripe is that for a room meant for 4 adults there eas not enough storage for clothes. That said, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Ee had a fantastic time.

Absolutely loved staying in this swanky place, however, I'd stay away from the bfast next time. The small buffet for two cost us $75!! Live and learn. Next time I'll hit up a coffee shop and a bagel. Otherwise....this hotel is definitely one I'd go back to !

Great Hotel

Posted Nov 8, 2016
Pros: The food here is excellent if you do not want to travel far after a long day.
Cons: The room was warm so I had to turn it off and open the window. To be fair it was unseasonably warm outside. I still got a great nights sleep.
Location: The location is very central and I never had to take more then a 12 min cab ride to get where I wanted to go.
The rooms are decent in size and very comfortable. You need your room key to access your floor and I love the security in that. The restaurant and bar area is excellent as well as the food. The staff was very friendly and the door attendants had great suggestions for places to visit from restaurants and must see sights.
