Good location but poor room and service

It was a very average stay in an impersonal business hotel, not worth the money...
Pros : location, historical landmark, nice gym, bathroom amenities, clean, nice view (46th floor)
Check-in : at 11.30pm, the towers reception area was closed and we were checked in at the main lobby. Staff was not particularly pleasant, we were not even asked if we had a good flight, no welcome drink, no luggage pickup and we were not shown to the room
Room : large but very empty ( there is only one bed, one table and two chairs... I wouldn't call that luxurious....)
Bathroom : hasn't changed since the construction of the hotel I assume...80s marble...Very tiny, no bathtub, one basin
Breakfast : we had breakfast twice at the mansion, nice setting but overpriced and ordinary
I would not recommend this hotel, there are better properties in NYC, it falls short of expectations.
