Nice hotel but kind of a hassle

The hotel was very clean but there were some downfalls. The hotel parking garage was a block and and a half away so we had to drag our bags, the outlet in our bathroom didn't work so I was unable to blow dry my hair etc..in the bathroom (but obviously this is room specific) and even though I requested a refrigerator ahead time for medication they did not accommodate my request because they ran out and they made no attempt to fix the situation. But if you're looking for clean and basic this hotel will do.

This is perfect location. Closer to all attractions and subways are very close as well.

Reasonable price

Pros: The staff were friendly and took care of requests with good humor.
Cons: Elevators.
Overall my stay was pleasant. The staff were excellent and very helpful. My only gripe was the elevator. One morning I actually waited for 10 mins. The next morning I took the stairs - 21 Floors. At least I got my morning walk in I guess.

The Best

If ever I come back to New York again, this is the place I want to stay again. It's clean, walking distance to Rockefeller and very close to the subway station.

Great location

Great hotel except for elevators that seem to have a mind of their own. Right next to the subway and easy to walk to downtown attraction. Staff, especially the gentleman who work at the entryway were courteous and helpful. There is construction across the street right now, which I was not aware of, so waking up to jackhammers and yelling men was not my idea of fun. Awesome little tavern next door, hotel restaurant didn't seem to have a lot of people there at any time though. Hotel located on a quiet street with a Duane Reade and another restaurant, Nebraska Steakhouse which was an experience in itself. Seems like the whole street is undergoing some changes. In all, great location and good hotel, very clean. Steep pricing but it's New York...

Very close to the subway and great restaurants

I had a great stay at this hotel. It was a 2 min walk to the subway station. It was also in the financial district with walking distance to great local restaurants and typical NY tourist sites. I would definitely return to this hotel when I return to NY.

Ok hotel, good location.

It is what it is...they've done the best possible with what they have. Small rooms, small bathrooms, tight quarters in the shower. Was clean and everything worked well. Staff were very friendly. Close to S. Ferry subway station, Battery Park and Starbucks right around the corner. Irish pub next door & other options within just a block or two.

Anniversary

Saw this had been up dated not to long ago so picked it excellent location but terrible hotel we had 3 different room changes in our 4 day stay. Twin bed instead of King with the first one then no cold water with the second couldn't take a shower and third room ok Crack in shower shelf didn't hold anything with out popping from wall lift slow and always had staff in it. Very disappointed with our stay won't be back and definitely won't recommend to anyone.
