Reasonable price

Posted Apr 30, 2017
Pros: The staff were friendly and took care of requests with good humor.
Cons: Elevators.
Overall my stay was pleasant. The staff were excellent and very helpful. My only gripe was the elevator. One morning I actually waited for 10 mins. The next morning I took the stairs - 21 Floors. At least I got my morning walk in I guess.

Dear Jack, Thank you for your review. I was pleased to hear you enjoyed your overall stay with us; however, I apologize for the elevator wait times. The speed of our elevators is determined by city code, and our building was constructed without a separate service elevator. Sometimes during our busiest times, the elevators may be over-burdened, and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused by this. We appreciate your business and hope to welcome you back soon. The Best

If ever I come back to New York again, this is the place I want to stay again. It's clean, walking distance to Rockefeller and very close to the subway station.

Stayed 3 days, some noise due to a new construction, not the best.

Great location

Posted Apr 18, 2017
Great hotel except for elevators that seem to have a mind of their own. Right next to the subway and easy to walk to downtown attraction. Staff, especially the gentleman who work at the entryway were courteous and helpful. There is construction across the street right now, which I was not aware of, so waking up to jackhammers and yelling men was not my idea of fun. Awesome little tavern next door, hotel restaurant didn't seem to have a lot of people there at any time though. Hotel located on a quiet street with a Duane Reade and another restaurant, Nebraska Steakhouse which was an experience in itself. Seems like the whole street is undergoing some changes. In all, great location and good hotel, very clean. Steep pricing but it's New York...

Very close to the subway and great restaurants

Posted Apr 16, 2017
I had a great stay at this hotel. It was a 2 min walk to the subway station. It was also in the financial district with walking distance to great local restaurants and typical NY tourist sites. I would definitely return to this hotel when I return to NY.

Ok hotel, good location.

It is what it is...they've done the best possible with what they have. Small rooms, small bathrooms, tight quarters in the shower. Was clean and everything worked well. Staff were very friendly. Close to S. Ferry subway station, Battery Park and Starbucks right around the corner. Irish pub next door & other options within just a block or two.

Anniversary

Saw this had been up dated not to long ago so picked it excellent location but terrible hotel we had 3 different room changes in our 4 day stay. Twin bed instead of King with the first one then no cold water with the second couldn't take a shower and third room ok Crack in shower shelf didn't hold anything with out popping from wall lift slow and always had staff in it. Very disappointed with our stay won't be back and definitely won't recommend to anyone.

Thank you for being our guest and for taking time to review your stay. We are so sorry about the mix up with your reservation. Unfortunately when booking through a third party site such as expedia, room types cannot always be guaranteed. Additionally, we are sorry you encountered so many maintenance issues in the bathrooms. We will have our maintenance team address these problems so that they will not affect future guests. Thank you for letting us know. We hope you will give us a second chance in the future. Close to ferries but far from shopping

Small hotel, lacks staff to accommodate guests. Waited a long time for check in and also had no cleaning services completed because they left for the day already

I am sorry to hear that you experienced slow check in times during your recent stay with us. I have discussed your comments with my team, and we have altered our procedures so this does not happen again. Additionally, we are sorry that you had some Housekeeping service issues in your suite. We value your feedback and will use it to ensure we are more consistent in our service levels. I hope we have the chance to make it up to you at a future date. Thanks again. Great location and comfortable bed, that's it

Posted Mar 22, 2017
Pros: It is in a central location downtown.
Cons: Live up to the Hilton brand, this falls short of it and is an embarrassment. Remove the homeless that are staying at the hotel.
The positives - this hotel is in a great location downtown and is surrounded by a myriad of subway stations. The bed is also very comfortable and the staff friendly. The areas of concern - 1. Room is tiny, my husband and I were there for a week and there was zero room to even lay your luggage down, we had to put it behind the door at the end of each day. 2. No hooks to hang your towels at all, hence had to have the towels changed daily as you could only put them on the floor. 3. Whilst this hotel is not expensive compared to midtown hotels, it is still a fair whack. It was very confusing as the 'guests' that you saw coming and going seriously looked to be homeless. This stunned us every time in the lift. It was like the hotel was providing emergency housing to homeless people, not at all what we expected. 4. There is no separate lift for the hotel staff, hence you were always in the lift with the cleaners lugging big baskets around. One time in the lift, one of the admin staff got in with her folder, chewing gum with her mouth open and blowing bubbles. Not what was expected. You would not experience this in England nor any other country where a Hilton is located. 5. The lifts are horrendous. You have to wait an exceptionally long time for one when you are on a high floor. 6. Room service comes from the Italian restaurant downstairs, who advised me that it would cost more for room service than it was advertised with no reasoning provided.

Dear Diann, thanks for being our guest and for the review. Please accept our apologies for the many issues that resulted in a not so great experience. The speed of our elevators are regulated and not anything we can change. We are so sorry for the inconvenient wait times. We are concerned with your room service comments and they have been shared with our food and beverage team to make sure accurate pricing is available to all our guests in the future. We apologize for any misdirected information. Thank you again, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back soon. Tracey Martinez Front Office Manager
