Well located but we waited over an hour for a crib for our baby, who was unable to go to sleep until it finally came. They gave us a credit for the future though because of the issue which was nice. Gorgeous views.

Wonderful hotel in a great Manhattan location.

Posted Dec 7, 2015
The staff was wonderful. The room large by NYC standards and the bathroom enormous with awesome water pressure. There is a hopping bar downstairs. I really enjoyed Union Square with the farmers market and Holiday Market providing lots of local color. The subway provides easy access to just about everywhere.

great location

Posted Nov 10, 2015
Very helpful staff! They checked us in early which was a life saver after a red eye flight. The hotel bar lounge and lobby is very lively 24/7. Not really a place to relax and read a newspaper with coffee but fantastic if that's your thing. The interior design of the rooms felt sophisticated but was looking a little old and worn in places. The carpet and shower in particular looked tired. Super comfortable bed! Great room and maid service, fantastic location.

Posted Oct 7, 2015 on Hotels

Posted Sep 25, 2015 on Hotels

Feeling like Gulliver in Lilliput

Posted Sep 21, 2015 on Hotels
I booked two king sized rooms for two nights. I was told that the rooms were identical. When we were taken to the rooms we found out that one was a handicapped accessible room, which was not acceptable for us. There were no drawers for clothing, the closet pole was 3-4 feet off the ground so our clothes wouldn't hang properly, there was a 1 inch lip into the shower so that the bathroom floor flooded every time we used the shower. We realize the importance of a hotel having handicapped accessible rooms, but don't believe that we should have to pay full price for being assigned one. We asked to transfer to another room and the front desk said that they were fully booked. They said that we could switch the next day if a room became available. We never heard back again from them. I didn't want to argue any more the next day because it was upsetting and it was only for one more night. Besides, we were out of the room most of the time. The hotel was loud, the hallways were narrow and poorly lit, and the service was mediocre. When we checked in at 11PM, there was nobody at the front desk or at the front door, so we tool the bellhop cart out to the street ourself to get our bags from the curb. We checked into the Standard in the East Village for the balance of our stay and were much happier.
