Great location in midtown

Pros: Nice location
Cons: Rooms are outdated
Location: Grand central station
Stayed June 1-3 and the stay was pleasant. I had a room right near the elevators and i could hear everyone talking, yelling, screaming, etc. The rooms are a bit small, the bathroom shower layout is weird, staff wasn't very curtous at checkin. No one was available to check me out at 3:30am. Still have not recieved a check out invoice as promised by whoever the staff member was who took my keys at "check out".

No coffee :(

Pros: The lobby was very comfortable for meeting up and relaxing at the end of the day. And the staff were all helpful even with non hotel issues.
Cons: Coffee, Wifi Wifi , coffee
Location: Great location with easy access to all parts of Manhattan. With a great variety of high end restaurants nearby.
The stay at the W was a bit more then merely comfortable. But i find exception with a hotel in this day and age that charges for wifi and doesn't provide for in room coffee. The W would be that much better if it recognized that the modern traveller relies less on the in room bar and more on the in-room access to the world.

Building work and very expensive charges

First of all there is a major construction site just behind the hotel. We were woken at 6am one morning as work started. I lost my phone at the start of the holiday. For a 5 min call to the uk to report the loss I ended up with a bill of 80 dollars!!!

Fan nightmare

Pros: The staff was very nice and the Bliss spa was great.
Cons: Please fix the fan issue in room 1515.
Location: Location was great, close by everything including the famous steakhouses.
We stayed in room 1515 and the air conditioning fan was so loud that we couldn't sleep throughout the night. I finally decided to turn the fan off from the thermostat just so that we didn't have to hear it. Just when we tried to get sleep the construction from the outside wasn't helping. We both had a losey night at the hotel. I have to say the staff is very nice and the Bliss Spa was great as well.

Meh. Decent hotel but small room, even after we paid $40 to upgrade to one of their Amazing rooms. Tiny bathroom, but nice products. Not free wifi- $14.95 per day even with Starwood membership.

Enjoyed it and will be back. Whiskey Blue was a little slow so late drinks lacked atmosphere.
