Wonderful hotel in NY

Pros: rooms, lobby, staff, lobby restrooms, fed-ex
Cons: stayed in 2 different rooms, one needed the bathroom updated
Location: nice neighborhood, close to subway, close to Sparks Steakhouse, not far from Central Park
All the staff at the Waldorf Astoria were very nice and helpful

Shabby rooms though they did move us when we complained about the jackhammers and were nice about it. Bathtub condition gross wallpaper peeling....

Iconic hotel.

Happy to have stayed at the iconic Waldorf Astoria. Everything was great but the hotel needs a little updating. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks!

Second time we've stayed here, fantastic hotel, great location, usual American hospitality. (Still don't understand why you pay for wifi in your room tho??!!) Overall, great visit, better than the first!! Look forward to third time!!

What a stunning hotel , beautiful decor feels like your in a 1920s movie gorgeous features, music gives it a nice ambience, only downside no tea/coffee facilities in the room

Luxury location

Great bedding - we had a wonderful sleep after long travel. Ideally located within walking distance to shopping theatres and Central Park.

Kaum zu erklären. Ein Mythos entzaubert

Wir haben uns für eine Suite im WA entschieden um einmal den Luxus eines Hotels mit Weltruf zu erleben. Fünf Tage... Ankunft: Super.. Die Lobby perfekt, Supershops, etc. Die Suite: eine Schande! Abgewohnt, schief hängende Bilder an der Wand, übertapezierte Schalter, die nebenbei und konsequenterweise auch schief verbaut waren. TV Schaltkästen hingen lose an der Wand, der allgemeine Zustand war traurig. Wirklich lieblos! Eine Minibad mit Duschbadewanne vollendete das traurige Ensemble. Das Abendessen im Bulls and Bears endete ebenfalls enttäuschend, aber da wird der Koch wohl einen schlechten Tag gehabt haben. Macht nichts, die 200$ sind als Lehrgeld gut investiert. Das Frühstück ist Spitzenklasse! Da gibt es nichts zu bemängeln, im Gegenteil, als Viel-USA Reisender weiß ich, dass dies ein absolutes Ausnahmefrühstück ist. So muss es sein. Wir sind trotzdem schwer enttäuscht vom WA. Das darf man sich nicht leisten. Eine Suite im WA hat einen natürlichen Qualitätsanspruch zu haben, dieser wurde in keiner Weise erfüllt! Tut mir leid, wir sind sonst nicht so kritisch...
