Great Hotel

Pros: the location and helpful staff, and the rooms were cleaned every day and very comfortable.
Cons: The room was dark as it was a mid room between buildings so no outside view or light, but the only way to avoid that is to ask for a room with a view.
Location: Location is ideal to astro diner over the road or up the road to the Old Castle, for drinks or breakfast/meals, not far to walk to gift shops etc.
Just stayed here with 5 other ladies for 5days and the location of the hotel is ideal, we loved the rooms they were very comfy with everything you need, a coffee machine is provided on request at no charge, the staff were all very helpful, the concierge was very helpful, Kevin, he will book shows and helicopter rides etc for you and told us how to use the subway etc lots of advice should you ask him. The bar drinks are a little expensive so we tended to drink in other bars.

great hotel with perfect location

The hotel is very nice, the staff is very friendly. It is close to Central Park and within walking distance to many of the Broadway theatres.

Nice hotel, great location. Close to Central Park

The suite was like a cave, no natural light. Fourth floor in the back of the hotel. Plenty of big windows but you couldn't tell if it was day or night even with all curtains open. Horrible and depressing. I asked for a room change but nothing was available. I complained at checkout to no avail. I have stayed there quite often but I am rethinking that now.

Too brief a stay

perfect location

Pros: Cosy and welcoming feeling.
The hotel was perfect location for us on a short break, close to Times Square, Central Park and 5th Avenue. Although it had 35 floors it felt small and friendly. Lovely stay and would stay again.

Great location in Manhattan!

Pros: The room and location.
Cons: Service in the restaurant.
Location: Great location for everything MidTown.
The hotel was beautiful. Room was exactly as anticipated, very nice. The only disappointment was the restaurant. It was a step down from years past when I used to stay at the Warrick on business. The food was good, but the service was lacking. However, the service in the bar was outstanding......just as I remembered.

Can't wait to return

Pros: Wonderful Service.....made to feel welcome......nice for ALL ages !
Cons: The door SLAM hard in the hall ways ......the latches sounded like a train going down the hall.... .......maybe a little WD40 may help?.....
Location: The Park... Shopping restaurants Broadway theater
Love the mix of old NY style with a touch of new with pristine updated bathrooms !

The positives.- The hotel is conveniently located close to Times Square but far enough to be quiet at nighttime. It is also close to Central Park, various museums and to a few key metro stations. The ambiance is very retro, which gives the place a nice swanky atmosphere. The rooms are well distributed and the bathrooms feel luxurious. They also offer great toiletries fro Gilchrist and Soames that are a real treat! The concierge staff is friendly and very attentive and helped me with transportation to the airport after check-out. The negatives.- My stay did have some bumps though. First of all, at check-in, I did experience some discomfort after learning that there were extra charges for Internet and rollaway beds, even if the reservation was explicitly for three people. When I asked why they didn't just replace the king bed with two smaller beds, they told me that they were out of small beds and that I had to pay an extra charge to get an upgrade. Fortunately, this issue did get resolved later. A minor other issue: the housekeeping services failed twice to take the garbage out of the bins.
