Excellent character hotel and friendly staff

Posted Aug 31, 2015
Pros: Everything.
Our stay at this hotel was exceptional. The facilities were great, the location was excellent and above all, the staff really turned our stay into a great experience. From check-in to check-out, they were friendly, polite and helpful - willing to go above and beyond to ensure we were well-looked after. We received a follow-up call from Reception staff to check that everything was ok shortly after getting to our room and any queries were dealt with with a smile. All staff were excellent and we'd particularly like to mention Moonie and Daniel who helped us greatly with booking our excursions. Thank you all for making our stay a very pleasant and memorable one!

Not Good Value

Posted Aug 30, 2015
Pros: The hotel was close to the places I wanted to walk to.
Cons: Reducing the room rate by 50% would provide better value.
Room is small, our room window looked out onto a wall in an alleyway (first time on vacation that I never had a view from my window), and bathroom is tiny, so not good bang for your buck, but I think that is, unfortunately, the New York hotel experience. And there was a strange smell emanating from the shower stall. Had to ask the front desk for bathroom supplies a couple of times since maid service wasn't providing all items.

Quick business trip to manhattan

Posted Aug 29, 2015
Pros: Clean, updated room in a perfect state. Quiet and excellent for uninterrupted sleep!
Cons: Perhaps free water in the rooms. Most hotels are doing this and no longer charging for a bottle of water every night.
Location: Great location right on the corner with 6th avenue. Lots of places to eat and shop.
Needed a place to stay for a couple of days. During the summer tourism makes getting a good room, at a good price, quite difficult, if you are booking only a few weeks out. For a small bit more, I was able to book the Warwick. Great location right on the corner with 6th avenue. Lots of places to eat and shop. Walked 15 minutes all the way to grand central station on 42 ... about a block a minute. Safe and clean area around the hotel. Excellent, clean, quiet and updated rooms. Everything about the room and the bathroom was clean, fresh and like new. Slept late - never do that. The rooms in the back with the limited view offer a big benefit, they are super quiet! Nice exercise room although I did not take advantage of it. The bar at night is right sized and very friendly for business travelers or vacationers. The food there was good. Recommend a glass of the sauvignon blanc! At the right price, this hotel is a winner.

Good location to explore NYC.

Posted Aug 29, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: There was a large pretzel under the bed. I would say cleanliness of the rooms.
Location: Bus tours, central park and radio city.
The room was nice but it was pretty noisy. I'm not sure if this is just New York City in general or if the windows were thin but we could hear street noise pretty clearly. The hotel staff was great and the hotel is located in a great location for exploration.

Warwick Hotel - superb

Posted Aug 27, 2015
Pros: Great location, beautiful interior and very spacious rooms which were clean with the most comfortable beds.
Cons: Noisy air conditioning which had to be turned off at night as you could not sleep with the noise. The hotel was also very expensive for meals.
Location: Easy walking to Central Park, Top of the Rock, Rockefeller Centre, Empire State Building and Macy's
On arriving at the hotel the outside and the interior of the hotel was beautiful. The staff were very courteous and we were dealt with very quickly and efficiently. On entering our room it was spacious and spotlessly clean. We had a double room with a courtyard view (there was building work going on outside but this was eleven floors down and not at night, so it did not affect us). It was amazingly quiet as it was in uptown Manhattan and we had many a good nights sleep. The only downside was the rooms could become very hot and although it had a very good air conditioning system, this was very noisy so you could not really keep it on at night.
