Authentic hotel

Posted Jun 25, 2017
Pros: The history
Cons: Staff more friendly, however we found a lot of New York staff very very rude !!!!!! Door men however very nice !
Location: Location very good near Central Park. Will need a taxi or sub for Statue of Liberty,9 /11 etc. Would recommend horse and cart round Central Park.
Hotel lovely however be aware when you check in that you will be signing for all the facilities of 25 dollars a day and you may not be even using them !!!!!!!!!!! Hotel bar extortionate prices !!!!. Only came across a few friendly New Yorkers. Very very expensive £9 for ice cream outside Central Park !! Cans of pop around £3 even from supermarkets. Got the flex ticket which saved money and would recommend. 9/11 a must !!

Beautiful hotel. Very attentive staff members who are very kind and willing to help. Close location to Times Square, several restaurants and Central Park. For my first time in NYC, traveling with my brother it, was the perfect hotel.

Best Hotel

The Warwick was beautiful, clean and charming with pictures of famous guests who have stayed there. It's location was great for Jazz at Lincoln Center. We also enjoyed the fine restaurants nearby. My wife and I will definitely return.

Great Stay.

Posted May 31, 2017
We really enjoyed our stay at the Warwick New York. The location is central to nearly everything and is an easy walk to transit, Times Square, The Theater District, Multiple Restaurants and Central Park. In particular I loved the ambiance and historic charm and elegance of this hotel. Our suite was beautifully done and was very comfortable. I have three complaints. 1) Our room #1103 sits on the backside of the Hotel and really did feel like it was down in a hole somewhere. Very dark and looking at a brick wall, no sunlight gets through. 2) The restaurants, Murals on 54 and Randolph's Bar and Lounge were okay, but not great, I would dine elsewhere next time. I would very much enjoy one day returning to The Warwick NYC

Pros: Everything. Loved the view.
Cons: Nothing really, even employees just 'walking through' the lobby assist in getting an elevator. The doorman was wonderful in getting a cab.
Location: MOMA is right up the street. Kleins is great for takeout. Central Park is close by.
As usual, we loved (almost) everything about your hotel. The Latina at the desk who signed us in actually remembered me from March 16, 2017 and before she even looked at my record said, "Welcome back!" She is really a gem on your staff. The gentlemen who checked us out offered me an umbrella, and even when I told him we were headed home, a wonderful offer when we had to wait for the Limoliner in the rain. He could not have been kinder. Randolph's was excellent, the doorman tophat (a new twist, I believe) Is a nice touch. But the Asian women who cleaned our room knocked on the door both mornings, a necessary knock, I know, but then she seemed mad when we were not leaving for awhile. But her cleaning skills are impeccable! So over, you are wonderful, and we'll be back. Carol McCarthy

A good choice for New York

Posted May 17, 2017
Pros: The art deco style
Cons: The zircon system!
Location: A convenient location for all New York attractions
A lovely hotel with great rooms and comfortable beds. However, the room was very hot and just got hotter each day despite asking for help to control the temperature.Such a shame as everything else was excellent. Jamal on reception was extremely pleasant. Breakfast buffet is very good if a little expensive.A great choice of fruits and hot and cold foods.

Vintage Hotel with Character

Posted May 14, 2017
Pros: It was very clean, very well-located, and the bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Next time, I would try to stay in a room with a street view. My view of the courtyard was really a view of another building.
I had a lovely visit to Manhattan a few days ago. I stayed at the Warwick Hotel. It has a touch of class from a by-gone era, a very friendly and helpful staff, and wonderful location. I had a great dinner near Lincoln Center, saw an engaging play, and walked back to the hotel after the play without any problems. The next day I visited the Frick Museum to see a special exhibit of Turner paintings and had lunch at the Neue Gallery. The Warwick's great location permitted me to enjoy these activities with ease. On my way back to Penn Station, I stopped to see "The Ballerina," a new art installation at Rockefeller Center. I had a brief, but wonderful visit to Manhattan, and the Warwick contributed significantly to the pleasure of these special few days!

Charmer with great location

Posted May 10, 2017
Pros: Confortable rooms, excellent service, well priced breakfast for NYC standards, good size rooms and reasonable rates.
Cons: I would add another spot for a third agent in the Front Desk/Reception area. This was the weakest link in the hotel. The check in and out was slow.
Location: Museum of Modern Art right across hotel. Many restaurants in the 1-4 blocks area around hotel to choose from. Also a Drugstore one block away.
Rooms and amenities are very good. Breakfast is a good buffet and the Randolph bar can be cozy. The reception/front desk staff was too snobby and inattentive for my taste. All other staff was excellent, friendly, saying hello, etc. Rooms were very large and confortable. Bathrooms are typical of older NYC hotels: renovated but tight spaced. My room was basically bathroom for one person at a time. Beds were really confortable. Only 3 elevators for a building with more than 20 floors meant some waiting time at busy times, otherwise they were fine. Beautiful old silent movie memorabilia is displayed in several places of the Hotel, which Howard Hughes bought to house Marion Davies, her lover and famed silent movie star. There you go with history. For most, the hotel is renovated and up to date on everything you need. Museum of Modern Art is basically across the street. There are several good choices for restaurants within 1-3 blocks from the front door as well as breakfast choices. I got a hot dog and pretzel right on the corner of 54th and 6th. Not bad at all for a New York vacation.
