Affordable, clean, convenient location!Posted Nov 29, 2015
Pros: PRice and location.
Cons: Use better materials for the bath and walls so dings and dirt don't show up!
Location: Very close to Eataly, High Line, Chelsea Galleries and the subways R and N to Times Square in 2 stops, walkable to Greenwich Village and Midtown.
At first we were disappointed that the room looked a big aged, but the bed was very clean and comfortable and NYC hotels take a beating. Great location near subways, off the beaten path. Very close to Eataly, High Line, Chelsea Galleries. Friendly staff. Can't beat the price and location. Would stay here again.

Unica pecca :lamoquette

Cons: Would have been nice if room had a fridge and microwave though.
Location: You name it, its there.
Was there on Business, but would be a great place to stay for vacation as it is close to everything you could need or want to see.

Real FindPosted Nov 4, 2015
Pros: convenient with great staff & comfortable room
Cons: larger rooms and bathrooms
Location: good restaurants and close to mid-town
Great little hotel, great staff, clean though small rooms. Adjoining restaurant does have very good food with an Italian flair. had breakfast with a client and their credit card machine was broke and waiter asked for cash. I went to desk for help in charging to room and they comped it due to inconvenience for me. In NYC? Are you kidding ?? Also requested a delayed check out from 11AM to 1PM and that was done. very nice people and I will start using it as my base for that part of Manhattan ( though I may go to a larger room or suite.

Perfect location, perfect staff!Posted Nov 3, 2015
Friendly from the start, the staff was incredible! Our housekeeper left a note thanking us for the tip, the room was clean and well stocked. The front desk was always smiling. Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and helpful. The location was central and safe. Highly recommended!

Great staff and locationPosted Oct 31, 2015
Pros: Location was everything for me with this hotel.
Cons: It would be nice for the staff to have menus for restaurants within a couple blocks radius.
Location: Union Square and Time Square are both within walking distance. So many restaurants close by as well, you don't have to go out of your way for anything
This staff was very accommodating and the location could not have been more perfect. Located within walking distance to Union Square and Time Square. You couldn't ask for more. The room was very comfortable and clean. I will for sure be staying here in the future.

Nice hotelPosted Oct 20, 2015
I have a good experience at this hotel. It's was clean and comfy. I was there on the business trip so I was relieved to know that I can take some printout at the last min. Just one thing, the shower nob needed plumbing that I did not expect at the 4 star hotel. But overall I m satisfied with the hotel.

Small but nice and reasonably priced hotelPosted Oct 15, 2015
In the context of Manhattan, the Wyndham Garden Chelsea hotel is quite a find. Okay, the rooms are small. I got a free upgrade to a junior suite and it was twee, with the luggage rack behind a huge structural support and not a spare inch elsewhere. But the room was highly functional and did have enough space for one person to be quite comfortable. The room and bathroom were very clean and neither had that tired, peeling, stained look one often finds in reasonably priced hotels in NYC. There are only about a half dozen rooms per floor so all the rooms are pretty close to the elevator, but I wasn't bothered by noise from the elevator. My room had a balcony but that didn't seem very appealing (it's New York, after all) so I didn't use it. The bed was super-comfortable and I wasn't bothered by street noise either, perhaps because 24th Street is pretty quiet itself. The hotel is conveniently located to the subway, with coffee shops and a diner nearby, so the fact that the hotel's restaurant was closed for renovation was not a problem. Overall, I'd stay there again, especially if I planned to spend much time downtown.
