Smelly & I had a nose bleed from the temperature being extremely HOT. I had no way of adjusting the heat and it’s spring time. Linen on the bed had a huge burn hole. Toilet flushed with the handle that you have to step on, like in a public bathroom.

This experience was underwhelming. The room I stayed was not what I was expecting for the price. No hangers or ironing board or hair dryer. It had a strong musk of cigarette and marijuana smoke, was very hot, loud sliding sounds of the elevator next door and guests fighting on every angle. I left at various times of the day, and each time I entered or left my room I heard people fighting. Right before checking out I heard a massive argument between a couple upstairs. The argument was so intense I actually called the front desk who said they'd send security but the fight continued. I've never been one to write a negative review but I felt genuinely disrespected by staff. At one point during my brief stay, the elevator was backed up so I asked a front desk employee if there was a staircase and he was extremely rude to me. After a long wait (in a rush) I made it to my room and the key card didn't work so I had to venture downstairs again and speak with another front desk person who was aware of what I needed and chose to ignore me. There's not much that I can say that was pleasant about my stay despite the proximity to the venue next door. I really hoped it would be nice enough to return to in the future but I will not.

This place gets the job done if you need somewhere to sleep. Not very clean, and very outdated. Like I said, if you just need a quick place to stay the night this is the place.

No breakfast offered; had to go to the TRYP around the corner which cost $20. The hotel restaurant was very good for lunch and dinner. They offer hourly transportation to Newark Penn Station and Liberty Airport. We could smell pot as we walked past rooms in our 12th floor hallway.

It was clean and comfortable. It was a little noisy. I stayed there 2 nights and each of those nights the police had to come... they won't automatically clean your room each day unless you specify. I kind of got the impression that on some floors they may have permanent residents. If you're not familiar with Newark I wouldn't stay here...
