Very nice hotel. Close to Newark Penn Station.

Posted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: I loved the continental breakfast the most because there were a lot of foods other than the typical fruits and muffins.
Cons: The space for people to eat at the continental breakfast could be improved. The rooms were always full and people would have to wait to get a table.
Location: The location is walking distance to Newark Penn Station, where you can take trains from there to go to New York in 20 minutes.
I love this hotel. The check-in/check-out process was incredibly quick and easy (under a minute). They provide free shuttle service (you should tip though) to and from the Newark Penn Station and the Newark International Airport (EWR). They also provide free continental breakfast every morning.

It's OK.

Posted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: It was close to Prudential Center.
Cons: The wallpaper and paint was coming off in the bathroom. Also, the door to the bathroom didn't fully close.
Location: Nothing much to do around the hotel, except the Prudential Center. We went there for boxing match.
The rooms were OK for the price, we had rooms on 4th floor. Parking and breakfast included, however breakfast was nothing special. The place was OK for one night, I'm not sure if I could stay there longer.

Convenient to Newark but only if you have to...

Posted Aug 11, 2015
The hotel staff were nice. The hotel itself seems really busy. Pluses: three blocks from Penn Station Newark (which mean 1 stop from Newark and 2 from Penn Station Manhattan) and free shuttle service to the airport. Minuses: Assigned room 701 which was next to an elevator shaft (there is only one shaft with 2 elevators) AND IT WAS LOUD. When we got to our room there was no sign on it to tell us the room number like the other rooms. Instead, there was a piece of paper taped to the door with the numbers typed out on it. Gave me the impression that they do not usually use this room probably because of the noisy elevator. Also had tight quarters. Since we were only staying there a few hours in order to get up very early and get to Newark, we decided to tough it out and hunkered down. Turned the TV on and found it wasn't getting the stations listed on the station list left in the room. Called the front desk, they said someone would come right up. No one ever came. Decided to go to bed early because of our flight. Had a rental so didn't take the shuttle so I can't comment on that - except I thought it was a nice perk. The airport was 10 minutes away with moderate traffic. It served its purpose.

Great Staff but Hotel needs work.

Posted Aug 9, 2015
Great location. Check in and check out was easy. We had no help with doors or bags when coming in though, so that was quite difficult. Staff was very kind and accommodating when I asked to use business center computer to print of a presentation I was making for the next day the business center was being renovated so computer was in hallway not hooked up to Internet or anything. Thankfully the front desk allowed me to print from their computer. Overall, though the hotel was just a mess. Fruit flies and regular flies swarmed us in not only the restaurant, but the breakfast area down stairs as well as our room. Constantly we had to cover our glass and swat them from our faces and food. It was quite disterbing. To be in every area of the hotel they must be breeding somewhere and that left me feeling sicker then anything. This hotel could be great, but as of now I would not recommend it to anyone.

Lovely, friendly staff

The staff was friendly and informative. I got an elevator room which meant it was a little noisy but it wasn't horrible. The rooms could probably do with updating but I wasn't there long. Did I mention the staff was great?

Nice place to stay at affordable price.

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: The shuttle service and morning breakfast.
Cons: Shuttle service is limited to airport and Penn Station only. They should expand shuttle service to other locations within the vicinity.
Location: Close to Newark Penn Station and good places to eat on Ferry St. Walking distance to Newark Museum, St. Patricks Cathedral, and Rutgers University.
The staff are helpful and our room was well kept. The room has lots of mirrors so my sister and I doesn't have to wait for our turn. We got in early, we were able to check in right away, and we were given a room with a nice view.
