This is not a nice hotel

Pros: The breakfast was not bad and the two people who worked on it were friendly and nice.
Cons: The front desk lady could pretend that she is actually glad that a guest has arrived.
Location: Good location for quick off and on I-95.
The room was run down, dirty and had a bad odor. It was a non-smoking room but smelled of stale cigarettes. The linens were very old and worn.

Good value for price

Pros: location.
Cons: entrance/paving was in disrepair breakfast was quite modest
Location: as above, close to restaurants and gas stations
Hotel location very close to highway with access to a number of restaurants and gas stations very close nearby.The facility was modest/sufficient and a good value for the cost.

Don’t understand, clean hotel. Staff very nice. Oh well also cheap rates. U do get what u pay for.

Masters presentation

Came down to udel to see our son give a masters defense and booked this the week prior. Good for a one night stay. Clean and comfortable but would not want to stay for longer than 2. We got the handicapped room so there was so much room in the bathroom and room area. Tv is small room was fine. Nothing special. Bed was fine and clean. So was the bathroom. Clean and BIG. Don't understand why we got the handicapped room as the place was not busy. Bagels and coffee also ok. I'd stay again because it's cheaper than any other hotel but no more than 2? Nights. Front desk was nice too.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Our hotel has many guests that stay weekly in the area working. Apologize that the only room that was available was a handicapped access. That could have been the only non-smoking room left to sell.

Bedbugs.

Pros: We got Cartoon Network.
Cons: Fumigate your rooms.
The group across the hall from us changed rooms immediately because of bloodstains on the wall. I walked away from my (ok-looking) room with about 20 bug bites. The girlfriend has a half dozen of her own. Walls were thin and TV remotes were confusing. One of the lights burned out while we were there, and it was already dim. We're cancelling our future reservation and finding somewhere else.

Smelled horrible, room was gross

Pros: Staff was friendly
Cons: RENOVATE YOUR ROOMS. And do not charge people an insane amount of money, to stay in a room like that.....
The room smelled horrible, there was a hole in the carpet, the chair at the desk seemed to be chewed apart by an animal or bugs. The bed had stains on the sheets and cigarette burns in the comforter. The manager claimed they are renovating rooms, and I understand that, however, how do you charge someone $139.00+tax a night to stay in a room as gross as this room was? I couldn't even stay my second night, I was so grossed out. I went home. This by the way was parents weekend for my Freshman at University of Delaware, I was quite upset.

The worst hotel experience that I have ever stayed

Living conditions completely unacceptable. Extremely dirty and I felt unsafe. Smelled like smoke , Dirty, windows were smeared. Hair on toilet,stained towels, stained carpet, dirt and hair pushed in corner of floor. Tub wouldn't drain. Stood in deep water while showering. Waited for someone to drain it for 1 hour by the time someone fixed it and missed anappr because we had to wait . After it being fixed. Dirty gloves left in the corner of the floor w dirty bath tub stopper leftupside down onledge of bathtub. Tub dirty... therefore we would not tryshiwerung. Absolutely disgusting

It’s okay but needs improvements

Red roof is an okay place to be when you are saving up money. They are affordable. Bathrooms in amazing conditions. The carpets are not properly cleaned. I saw acrelic nails on the Carpet and that made me believe they don’t always clean the carpets after someone checks out. The cards take way too long to open the doors I believe it’s getting old they need new cards for the doors. The internet connection is good but it kept kicking me out and I had to sign in again to the network a couple of times. other than that it’s a fair place for what you pay

Cheap, convenient, but wont stay here again.

Pros: It was relatively inexpensive. But the cheaper motel down the street (that we moved to after this one) was better and cleaner.
Cons: Rooms were pretty run down and could do with a deep cleaning. Also the faucet was broken. Staff didn't seem to know how to use check-in software.
Unpleasant. Switched to another hotel for rest of stay in area.
