Needing a refreshPosted Aug 24, 2015
Cons: Needs a makeover.
Location: Location was fine.
This hotel was somewhat disappointing. I had a strong smell throughout as if they were trying to cover up the smoke smell. The hotel staff barely exchanged words with us upon check in. Luckily we only stayed one night, or I would have moved to a different hotel.

Old and tired motelPosted Aug 24, 2015
The Newberg Travellodge had horrible signage and was difficult to find even thou it was on 99W. We got our room and it smelled like someone had smoked three packs of cigarettes in it. I asked for another room and they said sorry and gave me a can of Febreze. When we went to bed we noticed that the sheets were so old and thin that you could read your newspaper through them. When I checked out I told the person that they had to do something about the room as the smell was really bad. I said if the room wasn't already paid for I would have slept in my car. Oh ya, one more thing the a/c unit was so loud it woke us up continually. Other than that I guess it was OK.

Just passing through...Posted Aug 18, 2015
Pros: Easy access, exit, not that far from the major freeways
Cons: Like most older motels, finding outlets for our 'electronic gear', was slightly difficult, but not that much
Location: Wow: if wine country is not enough, there are also many other cultural activities in the region, too numerous to list
We chose Travelodge Suites when we saw the location- right in the midst of a fantastic wine region, before heading out early the next morning. Very pleasant, very quiet

Very simple, smallish, convenient, clean, friendlyPosted Aug 3, 2015
We had a nice experience staying here. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. (No idea what the word "Suites" means in their name!) They've got a small indoor pool and exercise room - didn't use those, but there're there. The hotel is right on Hiway 99, but far enough back and soundproof enough that road noise was not a problem. Old-style air conditioner was a bit loud though. Didn't see shampoo provided. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple but has all the Continental basics. Great value!

Decent price for reasonable qualityPosted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: The price was good and it was nice and clean, and reasonably quiet.
Cons: Breakfast room furniture arrangement made it hard to move around. Tables/chairs were too big for size of room?. Breakfast was not very appealing.
In Newberg for George Fox event. Even though the hotel is just off 99W, we were pleased that we were not bothered by traffic noise.
