Pretty basic property, lobby furniture torn

Posted Feb 8, 2017
Pros: the price and location to where my meeting was the next day
Cons: Clean up and fix the lobby & replace that hard mattress!
Location: This property is only about 1 1/2 miles from the Allison so if you have a meeting there but don't want to pay their room rates, this is an alternative
the room was basic, but clean. I stayed on a Monday night and it was very quite. Looked like maybe 10 vehicles in the parking lot. The bed was hard and became uncomfortable and there was an old stain on the bed spread.

It would have been better if there were no ants in the bathroom.

We are very sorry for the experience. We do treat every room with mild sprays to contain sweet ants as these days people do love to eat anywhere they like. Once again sorry for the unhappy experience .

Hotel needs work.

Thin walls, children crying for hours at night, broken hair dryer, tub faucet drips, lamp flickers, loud refrigerator.

Visiting family.

Pros: The downtown convenience.
Cons: The beds in the rooms need to be replaced. They were adequate, but not that comfortable.
The room was clean and comfortable, but the beds need to be replaced with new ones. The wifi was good and the continental breakfast was outstanding. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

Sorry for the inconvenience . We are in the process of renovation . We are changing all the beds pretty soon though they are only three years old. Once again we are sorry about your feeling about the beds

Stinks, Literally

Posted Nov 8, 2016
They pump so much fragrance into the entire building that I had to keep the window wide open and I still developed a sinus infection. I can't imagine what it would do to someone with lung problems.

Sorry for your experience. The fabreese contract was a national one. The day they change the cartridges it smells little strong and as days go by the fragrance gets absorbed in the air and fades away. However we apologize for your experience

Good value and location in town. Nice staff. We'd stay there again if we visit Newberg.

Okay for the money

Posted Oct 31, 2016
Pros: The price, location near the event I was attending.
Cons: Weird smell in the hall way like artificial air freshners that are trying to cover something up; the gross bedspreads that probably rarely get washed and the loud noises from the commercial area nearby waking you up bright and early.
Location: Chehalem Valley Brewing is across the street. Just avoid Finnegans. Horrible service.

Great stay!

Posted Oct 25, 2016
Pros: The owners of the hotel are really warm and went out of their way to help. Continental breakfast was a treat. I will definitely come back here.
Cons: No complaints, my stay was great. I was there for only one night so couldn't experience the neighborhood but the scenery is great in Newberg and Sherwood.
Location: I was only there for one night so can't comment on this.

Quite nights sleep....

Posted Oct 24, 2016
Pros: Good location and close to GFU. QUITE nights sleep!
Cons: I saw an ant walking on the desk but no others. Maybe it hitched a ride :-)
Location: Close to GFU and many restaurants.
