Pretty basic property, lobby furniture torn

Posted Feb 8, 2017
Pros: the price and location to where my meeting was the next day
Cons: Clean up and fix the lobby & replace that hard mattress!
Location: This property is only about 1 1/2 miles from the Allison so if you have a meeting there but don't want to pay their room rates, this is an alternative
the room was basic, but clean. I stayed on a Monday night and it was very quite. Looked like maybe 10 vehicles in the parking lot. The bed was hard and became uncomfortable and there was an old stain on the bed spread.

It would have been better if there were no ants in the bathroom.

We are very sorry for the experience. We do treat every room with mild sprays to contain sweet ants as these days people do love to eat anywhere they like. Once again sorry for the unhappy experience .

Stinks, Literally

Posted Nov 8, 2016
They pump so much fragrance into the entire building that I had to keep the window wide open and I still developed a sinus infection. I can't imagine what it would do to someone with lung problems.

Sorry for your experience. The fabreese contract was a national one. The day they change the cartridges it smells little strong and as days go by the fragrance gets absorbed in the air and fades away. However we apologize for your experience

Okay for the money

Posted Oct 31, 2016
Pros: The price, location near the event I was attending.
Cons: Weird smell in the hall way like artificial air freshners that are trying to cover something up; the gross bedspreads that probably rarely get washed and the loud noises from the commercial area nearby waking you up bright and early.
Location: Chehalem Valley Brewing is across the street. Just avoid Finnegans. Horrible service.

Great stay!

Posted Oct 25, 2016
Pros: The owners of the hotel are really warm and went out of their way to help. Continental breakfast was a treat. I will definitely come back here.
Cons: No complaints, my stay was great. I was there for only one night so couldn't experience the neighborhood but the scenery is great in Newberg and Sherwood.
Location: I was only there for one night so can't comment on this.

Pros: Good location and close to GFU. QUITE nights sleep!
Cons: I saw an ant walking on the desk but no others. Maybe it hitched a ride :-)
Location: Close to GFU and many restaurants.

Nice hotel near wineries

Posted Aug 22, 2016
Pros: the rooms are comfortable and the continental breakfast had a wide variety of food items.
Location: We found several wineries nearby
We stayed from Friday to Sunday, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Spacious enough for 4 adults and the continental breakfast was delicious. The pool was great after a couple days of 100 degree weather. Our whole family enjoyed it. We would recommend this hotel to friends.

Nice hotel, quiet, clean.

Had a nice stay although the sound of a lawn mower woke me up too early. Shari's was nearby and FM for gas. Wish there would have been a non sugared cereal offered for breakfast such as Cheerios.

Pleasant family-run hotel.

Posted Jul 30, 2016
Pros: Quiet location, friendly family owners.
Cons: Updating the furnishings and decor.
I believe it was the owner that checked us in late at night and was at the front desk again in the morning as well as attending to the breakfast room needs. He was pleasant and obviously hardworking. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean but with outdated furnishings. The continental breakfast was good and even had a surprise of pre made refrigerated sausage breakfast sandwiches. I would stay here again while visiting Newberg.

Never again!

Posted Jul 28, 2016
We paid for 2 days and stayed for 5 hours. The room smelled of high powered cheap cleaning solution and was still a dirty room and it was making me sick!!! Soda machine out of order and snack machine out of order. We tried to get our money back but they lied so we will never go through Expedia again. Nor stay at another Travel Lodge...Lesson Learned!

Sorry for the experience of the guest. Guest checked in the afternoon and checked out very late in the evening. Sneaked in a dog in the non-pet room without telling the front desk. When called and told about the pet charge decided to check out. Very sorry for the refund issue as it is expedia who has to deal with the refund. Did not charge for the pet though the pet charges in a non pet room is $100.00 Once again sorry.
