Weekend at Newcastle

The accommodation met our expectations and it was well located close to waterfront and shopping. Plenty of food outlets and restaurants. The 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious and well appointed. Parking was a little expensive at $25 per night.

Clean and Functional, but Expensive

Pros: Rooms had good size, and were clean. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking, beds were comfortable, staff were very friendly and prompt in responding to room issues (Broken Fan, Ceiling lighting issue). Location allows for easy walking to Honeysuckle Rd, the Wharf, Groceries and many Restaurants/Cafes/Bars. If you don't mind walking 3KM, it's a very nice walk to the Beaches (Newcastle or Nobby). Cons: Cost, Cost, Cost. This is a nice hotel in a good location, but it is priced like a 5 Star Hotel and it isn't one. A 2 Bed apartment for 3 adults and 1 baby for 3 nights cost $1012, +Crib, +Parking. This made my expectations exceptionally high, and they were not met. This is a good hotel, not a great one.

Newcastle getaway

the apartment was a great with plenty of room and well equipped. Location was good, although a walk to town centre it wasn't too far to go.

Heart of Newcastle

Pros: The price is reasonable for the size and quality of the accommodation and friendly staff.
Cons: Carpark needs to be regulated better to ensure that there is a park available when you get in, if you select that option.
Location: Hunter Street is desolate at night and not well lit. There are a few restaurants nearby, but certainly not a lot of vibrance in city nightlife.
I was more than happy with the quality of accommodation for the price. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the room was serviced well each day of my stay. I would stay again should the occasion arise to visit Newcastle.

Highly recommended!

The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was adequate and in good order. Access to the hotel was convenient although parking was a problem due to the peak rate time of year. Overall I would reccomend this hotel to friends and will more than likely visit again myself.

Right in the Heart of Newcastle

We had two cars and managed to park both right outside. The pub right downstairs looked nice but it had a function on so we couldn't get in for dinner. The apartment was well appointed and comfortable with no road noise. The location was good as it was an easy walk to the Honeysuckle restaurant precinct.

Loud nightclub and street life on hunter street. Bed is tiny and terribly uncomfortable along with the pillows. Hotel is drab and worn and needs updating but the room is clean. Hotel staff are friendly but understaffed. No one at checkout when trying to check out

Pros: Well located. Staff polite & friendly. Lockup parking to the immediate rear.
The fitout is a little tired commensurate with age. The bedrooms lack air circulation and do not have separate airconditioner, only in the living area.
