Great family hotel

Lovely stay again at hotel. Hotel and staff are all lovely. One member of staff even helped out with our elf on the shelf in the morning. Swimming pool fantastic for the kids.

nice hotel, nice staff very helpful. Problems with the central heating system but quickly responded to by the duty manager.The weather was particularly very cold and wintery. Food in the lounge could be a bit better

Excellent stay

Stayed one night with my children. Everything was great, the pool area lovely with warm swimming pool, the dinner and breakfast in the restaurant was great, the room was spacious with plenty of space for the children, all staff were lovely, in short I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Pros: spa
Cons: Morning breakfast staff, Also reception not taking note of customers request for final billing, ie. who or company to pay for it.
Location: Work
Requested twice for the reception to make final payment to office which I left them full contact details to do so making sure on morning of departure I said the same, that my company will settle the bill when contacted which was given, i=they failed and charged my personal card. Older ldy on breakfast told me off for appearing 10 min early for breakfast? there is a instant coffee machine!

Close to Cramlington.

Pros: Comfortable room, good breakfast and good pool and sauna
Cons: Looks a bit tired and in need of a bit of refurbishment in the room
Location: We had an event at Cramlington and it was easy and cheap to get a taxi there and back.
Good stay apart from getting woken up on Sunday morning at 5.40 a.m. with an alarm going off in the next room. It went on and on for ages and then went off intermittently. I couldn't get back to sleep.

weekend break

The staff were so helpful even when we needed a sofa bed made up at 1.30 in the morning. The pool was an added bonus and the kids loved it. Breakfast was yummy.

Pros: Pool and gym facilities really nice.
Cons: Service in restaurant could be a little bit quicker.
Good place to stay if you are mainly out and about doing other things. This is an airport hotel and although clean, there isn't much ambiance. Definudoes the trick if you are just looking for somewhere simple to stay. Pool was really warm which was a welcome surprise.

Overall a very good hotel.

We have used this hotel every time we have visited Northumberland or Newcastle since 2002, usually every other year. It is conveniently located right off the A1 yet in fairly quiet location and 10 minutes drive from a range of bars and restaurants in Newcastles satellite towns. The hotel is clean and the staff are helpful and polite. We have eaten in the hotel restaurant, the choice and standard of the food is not exceptional but perfectly acceptable for a hotel of this standard and the service was excellent. The leisure facilities are good, we used them twice, the first time the steam room was ridiculously hot and the sauna was not hot enough! Fortunately the following day this seemed to have been rectified and both were ok. We stayed in a double room and were surprised to find it fitted with a standard sized double bed, this much smaller than you expect of a hotel these days and two large adults would struggle. In best stays we have had very large king sized beds in the room. It is definitely worth checking what is on the room description when booking!
