Nothing to complain about.

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Such a lovely little hotel! If your young looking to explore the city and go out clubbing this is ideal! Firstly it's close to the centre, in the day it's walkable pretty much one straight road. 15 minutes. However taxis don't even cost £5pound. The rooms are simple. There's plenty of plug sockets, tv a sink and a small mirror. You get what you pay for. The beds are so comfortable. There is nothing dirty or disgusting about the rooms. Communal bathroom which is also very clean, I didn't use the shower but I wouldn't of hesitated too. The guy on reception is the friendliest bloke. So helpful advised us of taxi company's, places to eat always wanted to chat. He even took our rubbish out for us when we asked where we could put it. They allow hens and stags which hardly anywhere else will accept. There is no problems with sound being noisy as they pride themselves on the fact they accept young people and love to be able to provide somewhere where young people can drink and have fun. Absolutely brilliant stay.

Just about adequate for one night stay

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: The gentleman who oversaw our visit was kind and happy to banter. Made us feel welcome.
Cons: See above
Location: Walking distance from St. James's Park
The hotel is a hostel .....without communal kitchen or meeting room. The rooms are bare, main light didn't work, blind was broken, shared toilet facilities and one of the two toilets had a broken seat and a door that took considerable tugging to open after locking. It was just adequate for one night stay prior to the Great North Run. No breakfast available. Very noisy from road traffic. Strong smell of cigarette smoke coming into my room but possibly from someone standing outside beneath the window.

Very enjoyable stay. Doorman qs one of the kindest and most accommodating man I've even encountered, he booked us taxis, gave us trip suggestions and gave us a wake up call when we had an early flight home. We heard poor reviews before booking but I have absolutely no complaints.

More like a hostel not a hotel

Posted May 20, 2014 on Hotels
Not all rooms have bathrooms, would advise getting one with a bathroom as showering facilities were not really useable. Did not even attempt to walk into the city centre due to surrounding area. Staff helpful and polite-probably the only positive about the place!

Cheap rates close to centre

Posted Feb 4, 2014
Pros: It was cheap and close to centre.
Cons: ???? Bit noisy for us old girls but brill if you are young and can stay up all night!
Location: 2 minute drive to centre.
Ideal for a couple of girls in Newcastle for a night out to get your head down at cheap prices. Staff were brill even offering a free taxi to centre of town.

It is a nightmare. We are shocked that a group of hookers just sitting in the lobby. No one in the reception except them. And room was dirty.
