Nice hotel

Posted Feb 15, 2017
Pros: Stayed in a club room with a large comfortable bed and a huge t.v. Nice coffee/tea maker in room.
Cons: Found the decor a bit dark. Dark wood, orange drawer fronts, grey walls. Larger drawers or another set would be useful.
Location: On a business park, but easy access to road. Retail park with cinema and restaurants nearby.
Used the hotel as a base for visiting relations. Convenient location for us and a reasonable price. Very nice buffet breakfast. Did not use the restaurant or bar but they were always busy.

Good hotel, terrible food

Posted Feb 4, 2017
Pros: Clean modern and comfortable
Cons: Shut your restaurant !
The food was awful, worse hotel food I've ever had. Small portions, bad quality of ingredients and just not cooked well. For this reason alone I won't be staying here ever again.

Updated and a big improvement

Posted Dec 27, 2016
Pros: The updated decor, fast check-in and peace.
Cons: I don't get breakfast here as on the times I've had it, it hasn't been good. I use the onsite starbucks instead but a better breakfast would be nice.
I stay at this hotel regularly as it's close to family. It was looking tired and last time I reviewed I'd had an awful nights stay due to a gang of lads being in the room next door partying through the night. This time the hotel was peaceful. I had an updated club room and it was really good. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was lovely and the tv was huge.

Lovely clean modern hotel. Great leisure club.

Posted Dec 20, 2016
We were going to see a show in Newcastle. Hotel staff happily booked us a taxi (it's a 10-15min drive into the city centre) The hotel is clean and modern. There is a pub, Italian restaurant and fantastic leisure club/spa. You wouldnt need to go elsewhere! Bar prices are very reasonable. Rooms are spacious & comfortable. All staff were friendly. I wasnt keen on the computerised selfcheck in but i suppose it alleviates queues at busy times. I do prefer a more traditional reception desk! There is a cinema shops and restaurants nearby at the Silverlink. Overall great experience.

Brilliant Stay At Village Newcastle Recomended

Posted Dec 12, 2016
Pros: Everything
Cons: I wouldnt think anything very enjoyable and reasonably priced
Location: Close to Motorways. Plenty of restaurants in the area but no need to leave the hotel as the food is lovely.
Brilliant Stay, Lovely clean Hotel. Pub Food Lovely plenty of sports on the big screen me and my partner stayed on a Friday night and there was music on until late. There was also a christmas party night you could have booked onto with a 3 course meal. Breakfast a wide variety to choose from all cooked fresh. Overall a brilliant stay will book again.

Good Value, Pleasnt Stay

Posted Dec 6, 2016
Good price, spacious room, very clean, lots of onsite ammities (Starbucks, restaurant, pub, spa ect). Location is a bit poor with nothing much in the area but plenty of busses to get elsewhere and plenty of parking space. Rooms are quite dim even with full lighting. Narrow small bath, shower more of a spray (can't adjust setting) not very highly pressure either.

Hotel used to be perfect

Posted Nov 28, 2016
The hotel use to be perfect but they have decorated and to my opinion it's awful dark and dingy.. the breakfast was fine.. we didn't use the facilities coz we just wanted to get home in the morning after the horrendous neighbours we had the night before

Pros: The staff were very friendly it was in a good location.
Cons: the bathroom wall in the room we stayed in needs fixing this is an infection control hazard, cleaning staff need to learn what cleaning is.
Location: great for access to metro centre.
Bathroom needs repairs, cleaning staff need training, when you have guests staying above the main room that is hired out it is usually a polite notice to let them know the music will be going on till late so they know what to expect, we are early sleepers and early risers and the music went on till late and people could be heard, the kitchen staff could be seen in their full uniform (still with aprons on) having cigarettes outside (very hygienic) infection control training for them I think.

Excellent pool and facilities.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is convenient for our family who live locally. The hotel gives us all we need. my only comment would be that perhaps in a Club room it would be nice to have a bedside table on each side of the bed and and possibly a second comfortable chair. I do realise space would be an issue with the chair.Requests were dealt with promptly.
