Pros: breakfast, staff
Cons: need to be two chairs in a room for two!
Location: Holystone pub nearby is good for dining. Seaton Devalal Hall (NT) nearby, also St Mary's lighthouse on coast
Friendly, efficient staff. Breakfast excellent and well organised. Rooms a good size, even though beds are enormous. Rooms were promptly and thughly cleaned each day

Great place to stayPosted Aug 13, 2015
Pros: There was nothing to not like. The hotel is excellent.
Cons: Special offers, to enable cheaper stays, would then stay more often.
Location: A little out of the way, but when we stay we are visiting our Daughter, so that is not a problem.
Staff very friendly, very accomadating, hotel clean, comfortable and breakfast was lovely. Have stayed here before and will def. stay again.

Pleasant short stayPosted Aug 5, 2015
Comfy stay while visiting family nearby. Rooms clean and spacious. Only 1 pillow per person. 2 would have been better. Busy hotel. Asked for quiet rooms. 1 room backed onto function room so was noisy late at night. Gym facilities good. No information in room if you needed doctor in the night. Also reception was not manned after a certain time.

Pros: size of room and cleanliness, staff friendly
Cons: Map and distance walking to metro - definitely not 10 minutes!
Location: Good location for the business park
We chose this hotel as have stayed at Village Hotels and always been good. Location was important between Tynemouth and Newcastle.

Weekend BreakPosted Jun 17, 2015 on Hotels
Enjoyed our stay in the hotel, don't recommend the Italian restaurant there but can recommend The Wheatsheaf just a few minutes drive away. Unfortunately we had a problem with our room and didn't think that it was dealt with very well which didn't give us a favourable impression of the hotel to start with but after it had been sorted out we enjoyed the rest of our stay.

Hotel staff were great especially the night staff who sorted out a drink for me after all the bars were shut.the restaurant does need a lot of work though the food was very bland and highly overpriced.the tvs in the upper deck need clearer instructions as we had to get hotel staff to access the sky channels. The WiFi speed was dreadfully slow as well but apart from that a great hotel

Very good Upper Deck roomsPosted Jun 14, 2015 on Hotels
Upper deck rooms are nice, would avoid the cheaper options. Didn't use the pool but looked nice. Food ok, avoid the cocktails, not good. Clean and comfy room.
