You get what you pay for.

Toilet didn't work. Bed was okay. It was okay for one night. Very cheap but didn't have my reservation through Hotels.com. Took 1/2 hr. To have phone support call them and check in. Quite a hassle. Finally checked in.

Hamlet Motel Newman

Posted Nov 3, 2015 on Hotels
This recently refurbished hotel has received lots of TLC with upgrades and paint. No flat screen TV but clean, new mattresses and carpets in our room. We saw other rooms and although nothing fancy, certainly an ok place for the price. It is on Route 33 but we didn't hear a lot of noise at night. Everything worked and Newman is very close to drive with several restaurants and stores.

Few screws loose of a full set.

Pros: Only liked the price.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Location is a smelly farm land. It really stinks. I don't know much you can do near by. I see this as low cost stopping point.
I'm very shocked this Motel was even on Expedia. I thought they would of screened for bad experiences. The guy checking us in felt like he had bad hearing and bad hand eye coordination. It felt that we had to wait nearly 1/2 an hour for the guy to find out reservation in the middle of the night trying to click on an email, but clicking on the wrong part of the screen nearly 3 dozen times.

No. Just No.

The front office staff spoke next to no English and they were rude as all get out. I have never been talked to in such a rude manner. I would Not stay here again even. I'd rather sleep in my car than deal with the rudeness that The staff delt out.

Quaint, not quiet.

Manager was confused how Hotels.com works and wanted to charge us until we showed him that the bill was already charged to credit card. Hot water took 11 minutes to reach my room because it was far from the hot water heater. And the motel is VERY close to a noisy intersection. The place was clean and very Route 66 - era.

Stopped off on long trip for some sleep

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Two rooms for us and teenage children. Upon arrival I was asked if I was having a party because I booked two rooms. I felt like a little kid being warned of what I can and cannot do. I should never have to explain to a hotel manager/owner that I am not having a wild party! Went into the rooms, they were hot! Turned on the air to both rooms, one room never cooled off during the night (sorry kids). My room was left with an unflushed toilet that was a nasty mixed up deucer... Disgusting!! Long story short, I'll never be back!!

It will do, but take a fly swatter

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Inexpensive, clean
Cons: Get rid of the flies, more water pressure
Location: There are a number of restaurants within a mile or two.
I usually look for small motels that are inexpensive but still clean and comfortable. The owners were nice enough and our room was almost exactly as expected but there were a dozen or more flies in the room. An improvised flyswatter took care of the problem quickly enough but that should not have been necessary. Also, the shower was almost not usable because of the low water pressure. It was barely more than a constant dribble. All-in-all, the room was okay but I don't think I would stay here again.

Clean but no hot water

The room was clean, and you get what you pay for with a $36 hotel, but there was no hot water.
