Good place to stayPosted Oct 5, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness, comfort and close to shopping and restaurants made it ideal for us.
Cons: Speed of checking in could be improved.
Location: Great shopping and restaurants within walking distance.
It is a very nice hotel. The rooms are well appointed and clean. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. My only complaint was we had to wait 2 hours to be checked in as our room was not ready. They gave no explanation and when I finally pressed the desk staff, they gave us a different room which had been ready all along.

Travel During TIFF!!Posted Sep 23, 2015
Pros: The Buttery!! Fabluous meal there. Good price, we shall return.
Location: Huge mall across the street.
Looking for a room in the GTA during TIFF was painful!! Resorted to staying north of the city and found this gem. Despite the retro fits over the years, this room was GREAT! Beds were really comfortable and shower was refreshing. Lots of towels. Spacious, clean AND little a cover for the tv remote!! I loved that!!!

I had great time in Toronto .I will be returning!Posted Sep 22, 2015
Pros: The room was clean, smells nice and I love the beds very comfortable and bathroom very well kept!
Cons: you could drop the price a bit, but if not I think breakfast , lunch and supper should be included in the price that we pay for the hotel.
Location: I went with a friend to explore the country sites ,Tim Horton's and dinner and there's a lot of malls to choose from! Toronto is the place to be!
The people in Toronto ,are nice and friendly! it makes you wanna come and live there!

Avoid this place, especially the "motel" sidePosted Aug 29, 2015
Pros: Location; staff are helpful and friendly
Cons: Just about everything else
Location: Right across the street from a big mall.
The hotel has a main, multi-storey building and an attached, two-storey building with the rooms opening right to the outside, like a motel. I was told at check-in that because I had booked through a third party, my room would be in the motel section, but for $10 a night I could move. Looking back I wish I had taken that offer. If you want any privacy at all, you can't open the curtains in the motel section. Heavy smokers hung around outside my room almost all the time, and one night a bunch of people decided to party out there as well. But then, I've stayed in the main part of the hotel on previous visits and there is not much to recommend it, either. The furnishings are tired and outdated and the elevator is incredibly slow. On one visit I had to change rooms because of a strong smell of mould. On the plus side, the staff I've dealt with have all been pleasant and helpful.

Could have been better for the price!Posted Aug 22, 2015
Cons: Better customer service when checking in. One night stay did cost $170 so at least a warm smile at check in would have been nice! Wont be going back.
Location: Across from Upper Canada Mall. LCBO/Shoppers Drugmart next to hotel.
Room smelled of old cigarette smoke and mildew. Front desk clerk could have at least cracked a smile when we checked in. She clearly did not like her job. Hotel was across the street from the mall, LCBO and Shoppers Drugmart right next door. Room seemed clean (except for smell) until we pulled the sheets down and found two long dark hairs. Off site pool is 5 minutes away. Not sure why they would even say they have use of one. I just assumed it was across the street.

Best Western, Newmarket, ONPosted Aug 22, 2015
Cons: Clean up the room, fix the noise aircondition and bathroom fan and ripped up the dirty carpets and air the run down rooms.
We booked this hotel with the same check in and out dates along with another couple. Upon arrival, our friends were put in the upper floor and we were out on the ground floor. However, when we went into our room on the G/f, we were shocked to see that it was smelly, noisy and unclean. The room stinker like stale room with a hint of pee, the aircon & bathroom fan was very noisy and the room itself looked and felt dirty. There were heavy dust on the shelve above the clothes hanging area and some corners of the ceiling had spider webs. This was a motel feeling but what made it even more unpleasurable was that this room felt like a cheap run down motel for hookers to turn a trick with a John for a few hours stay. It was gross! We managed to get a room change to the upper floor BUT not until the next day. Had we not asked for a room change, we would been stuck in this awful room and had to pay for a higher rate than out friends who got booked into the upper floor! It was such an unpleasant stay and I would never stay at a Best Western again.

Okay, but aging.Posted Aug 13, 2015
Hotel was convenient for our needs. I didn't realize that there was a "motel" component to this hotel, and that is where we ended up. Everything was nice, but the rooms are showing their age, and could use some reno work.

ConvenientPosted Aug 10, 2015
Convenient but a little over priced as it seems to have been a motel many years ago. Clean and comfortable but quite small.
