This property is a great value. I stayed over night as I had an event in the area. I wasn’t sure what to expect for such a low cost but the service was wonderful both at check in and check out. The room was large and clean. The only thing was that the secondary lock was missing from the door ( the one that is usually a latch) but I felt completely safe and had no issues. I didn’ t use the pool but walked by it and it looked clean and inviting. I would recommend this as an economical place to spend the night.

Beware of bed bugs I’ve had a very bad experience staying in this hotel as they have successfully managed to ruin my vacation. Booked for 8 nights however I had to leave after only two nights because of bed bugs. After I complained to the hotel manager, they have done their own investigation and they said they found 1 bed bug which I very much doubt because I was bitten in over 50 places all over my body. I had to consult a doctor and was prescribed antibiotics and cream and because I’m not a Canadian citizen I had to pay a private doctor fee which the hotel management refused to reimburse me for it despite emailing them a photos of the receipts and proof of the bug bites. In fact they have completely ignored my emails and not even replied to me. They did arrange for full refund when I told them on the second day that I want to cancel my booking. My advice is to stay well away from this place.

Hello Sahir, Thank you for sharing your story. We were looking for your reservation in our system, however, I could not find it. Are you sure you stayed at Newmarket Inn. We also have Newmarket Suites in Newmarket. As far as we are concern we do not have bed bugs, however it is a serious accusation that we need to take seriously.As for the emails that we have not responded to, we can not find any emails sent to Newmarket Inn with receipts, requesting a refund. To be honest the whole thing is puzzling . We are pride ourselves on excellent customer service. We hope all of it, it's just a misunderstanding.

Recently had family move up there, since I travel from Windsor, I needed a new place to stay with her move, Newmarket Inn was a great choice( as I choose online) I was very pleased with service, room and oj and muffin for breakfast on the road. Looking forward to many more stays with them.

Staff were friendly. The breakfast was not what was expected: Juice, muffin & nutrigrain bar in a paper bag. There is a breakfast area with a toaster, fridge, etc but not set up. Property should advertise breakfast as “muffin & juice” in order to manage expectations.

Had a great rate and was clean/ comfy beds. The continental breakfast consisted of an orange juice and pre-packaged muffin in a brown bag to go, so I was disappointed in this as I wouldn’t consider that a “breakfast” we ended up having to go out and get coffee/ breakfast adding to our over all expense and the cable was choppy on almost all the channels. Over all stay was pleasant and would use this hotel again

This was a very clean, well kept hotel. Knowing it’s an older establishment, it’s kept in very good condition. The front desk clerk was very hospitable, and I slept very well, which I wondered about being so close to the highway. No problem. Thanks!

It served its purpose, good for the price. This time we got a room above the pool, which is more updated than the the rooms on the ground floor. I prefer having the more updated room, even though it doesn’t have a kitchen since we only stayed 1 night. Also nice to have indoor access to the pool.

Bedbugs!!!!!! Reserved three rooms for our family. One of our rooms, Room 80, had bedbugs. One of the other rooms, Room 79, smelled like somebody had died in there!!! They were discovered when one of our grandchildren headed off to bed at 11:00p.m. We decided we were all leaving and contacted the front desk to tell them all of us were checking out!! So we had to wake up an 8 year old and a 10 month baby to pack up everyday and leave at midnight with no place to go. Upon leaving the girl at front desk said she spoke to owner and we were told we would be getting a full refund. She said this was the first time they had bedbugs!! Really?? Asked about further compensation and all we got was a sorry. Two days have passed and haven't received refund yet. When you book, if you dare risk it, make sure it is not a "poker night" they are hosting because the limited parking is taken by the poker players!!! This place ruined our wedding weekend. Expected to get a personal apology from the owner, but didn't. Truly a filthy place to stay!!

We are so very sorry that you had such a bad experience.Please trust me, that it was the first time that we had bedbugs, as unbelievalbe as it sounds, we are a small hotel, so we are vigilant about about things like that. We were just very unlucky, that someone brought it in and we did not caught it in time. You can look up our previous reviews and see that there has been no mention of this problem in the past. Nonetheless, it happend and it happened while you were a guest and we can not say sorry enough for the sitution you found yourselves in. We would had been more then happy to offer you a different room, so you did not have to leave the hotel at night, ofcourse with no charge for all 3 rooms. As to the poker night, we are very sorry that the parking lot was full, but we host a charity poker night on Fridays, organized by retired police officers and the number of participants is usually low enough, that there are enough parking spots for everyone, however, we will look into it. Again our sincere apology.

It was cleans and quiet. The room was large and had lots of plus for devices. Bathroom was recently redone and was lovely. The gardens were really quite spectacular. It was located conveniently for our purposes. Will definitely return as we will be in the area frequently for family reasons.

The woman at reception was really awesome! She was friendly and very helpful. The room itself is dated and tired (which is expected as the inn looks quite old), but clean enough. We were in the building that has the pool (since we requested some pooltime) and the smell of chlorine was very strong. The pool itself was nice. Overall, we had a good time.
