Ok place. Lots of expensive superfluous charges.

Misleading practices with charges for various services including a destination fee, which staff claim cannot be refused and very expensive parking. Rude home administrative staff.

Lovely lap pool but no goggles available for sale or loan. Quiet room per my request. shuttle service to one beach; not to airport or to Balboa Island or other nearby but not walkable locales. Electric outlet in bathroom was dead. Apples in entry area are a nice touch.

Great Hotel for the Area

Clearly an older hotel, but they have done a good job upgrading over the years. The staff was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfy, upgraded and functional. Great area as well.

2 days after our stay my Visa card had $32 CDN added on. When I contacted Marriott Newport Beach I was told it as to cover things like parking and use of amenities. Really would have liked to have known this before booking or at the very least at registration. Instead they wait 2 days and then bill me.

Hotel is in a great location. Next to shopping mall. Room service a little pricey for the food they serve.
