"I wasn't sure what to expect of the Seymour Lake Lodge when I booked it on Hotels.com. Was I pleasantly surprised! It is an old converted farmhouse, with tons of character, and all the modern conveniences. The room was adequate and comfortable, the view of the lake was stunning, both from my room, and the large front porch! A huge yard for walking my dog. Had lengthy conversations with the property manager and another guest. One of my most memorable stays."

"Loved it The lake is so pretty. The house was comfortable and clean. We were blessed to see the northern lights on 5/10. All those green and red lights shining off the lake were magical. Husband caught a few bass off of the point. Great time and perfect for our 44th anniversary. Would definitely come back!"

"Had a wonderful stay for a quick spring skiing trip. Location was incredibly convenient both for trail access and for being close to the other on mountain amenities. Condo was very comfortable and clean."

"This hotel is unique and amazing. We stayed there with our two kids and l do not usually leave reviews about hotels but l had to do so with this one. This hotel was a big reason of what made our trip enjoyable and very special. We stayed there for two nights to be close to Jay peak resort, it is very close to the hotel 6 or 7 miles away. The hotel is a beauty in itself with its antique ambience and the beautiful and unique decor. The rooms are very clean and the staff very nice and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, it was like real good home made breakfast. In the room, they have tvs and a whole bunch of board games and puzzles and even more at the reception area. Two blocks away from our room we enjoyed a beautiful river and they have two clean outdoor hot tubs which we tried and loved. The room and the lobby had many complimentary drinks and snacks, all very good for adults and kids. They really cared to make our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. I definitely recommend this hotel and if we ever were to visit Vermont again, l would not go anywhere else. "

"This is an appealing property with a modern feel. It’s an older house and while it does have low ceilings (only a slight issue for me in the stairway as I’m 6’2”), it has significant modern updates and a lot of charm. Overall the property is also very clean. The property is picturesque with a nice brook running behind the house, into a small river in front of the house. The property is conveniently located for skiing/snowboarding with proximity to Jay Peak, Smugglers Notch and Stowe. It sounds like this is true for other outdoor activities as well, but I was only focused on snowboarding. It’s somewhat isolated, which I like, but it’s not far from a couple country stores and Jeffersonville if you want to grab a bite to eat or hit up a tavern or pub. Make sure you read the property description thoroughly. The owner is very clear about all aspects of the property on this page and in their communications with you, but Vrbo doesn’t do a great job with the way their platform displays bathrooms. I was expecting 2 or 2.5 bathrooms, but this property has 1.5. It wasn’t a big deal for my short stay, but it would have been frustrating if I’d been at the property for a few more nights (I stayed there with two other friends). Again, this is my own fault for skimming through the owners description of the property. This is a great property and I will certainly consider staying here again if I find myself looking for another multi-day trip in the area."
