Marriott Motor LodgePosted Sep 28, 2015
First room smelled terrible so they moved us. Second room had a paper thin comforter and a noisy refrigerator that needed to be unplugged. This hotel is not indicative of the normal Courtyard experience.

Nice Hotel / Very nice and helpful StaffPosted Sep 22, 2015
Cons: TV's PC's etc in lobby were not easy to operate. They look good in the pictures on the website but don't work very well
Location: Location is good for Newport. About a 10-15 min drive which was fine from downtown and the beaches.
Staff could not have been better. Hotel clean and comfortable

Nice hotel close to Newport, beach, and vineyard.Posted Sep 9, 2015
This hotel has a nice decor and is clean. It is close to the beach, vineyard, and downtown Newport. There are stores close by to purchase food, clothing, etc. I liked that the hotel has a Starbucks in the lobby, very convenient for coffee lovers. My only complaint was the fitness center was very small.

Less expensive option to visit NewportPosted Sep 6, 2015
This was a very comfortable hotel just minutes from Newport. The price on a holiday weekend was hundreds of dollars less than in Newport. In a very quiet neighborhood.

reasonably priced hotel with small poolPosted Aug 4, 2015
Pros: Staff were very helpful when I was trying to ring a landline and couldn't get through on my mobile. Quiet location, peaceful atmosphere.
Cons: The Bistro. At least warn customers that it is only a starbucks with very, very limited menu, and don't try passing it off as a restaurant.
Location: A short distance down the road is a shopping centre with an Aldi, a Staples, and a great Chinese restaurant with a great value buffet style meal.
We liked the hotel. The only thing that disappointed us was the "restaurant", which was very limited in comparison to how we remembered Courtyard food services from our last trip to America in 2012. It was basically, a Starbucks.

Nice hotel but a distance from Newport actionPosted Aug 3, 2015
Location: Location was okay, but tucked away from the main street. About 15 min drive to Newport center. Not ideal but works. Probably more for business travel.
Hotel and room were very nice. Lobby and pool were beautiful.

Musty OdorPosted Jul 6, 2015
Cons: musty odor in room
Location: Comfortable distance to downtown Newport.
The room appeared clean and comfortable enough. The issue was a pervasive musty odor which required the purchase of a can of Lysol. I stayed at this hotel over the Memorial Day weekend and had the same issue. Otherwise pleasant enough.
