Should be 3.5 or 4 star hotel

Pros: See above.
Cons: Maybe having a divider between bedroom and living room would be nice.
Location: 10 min. drive to downtown Newport RI.
We've stayed at many 3/4 star hotels and clearly this hotel stood out as one of the best. - Newly renovated building with spacious rooms. - Excellent breakfast choices. We stayed at 4 start hotel prior to staying at Hilton and paid almost twice as much. I think this hotel should be rated more like 3.5 star based on my experience.

Great accommodations and close to downtown newport

This is my family's second time staying at the hotel. Just like our previous experience, we were more than satisfied. The hotel has pretty much everything you can ask for. The complementary breakfast and the light dinner were very good. We also used the grills on the rear patio and barbequed one night. The hotel staff was very professional and extremely helpful. Even our miniture Schnauzer was greeted with a care package. On our next trip back to Newport we will definitely be returning to Homewood Suites.

Great Place*Great Bed*Fresh & New

Last minute Fall Foliage Booking...Comfortable Bed, HUGE Room, Feels BRAND new, clean, great Breakfast Room and TVS for watching morning news, Good breakfast. We didn't use the kitchenette but it would be fabulous for families who need the space

Late night reservation...

Very good in general, however we weren't able to keep shower door close. Staff were a little bit unwelcoming by not providing information about breakfast hours and internet connections when checking in.

Pros: Spacious and clean. Many amenities. Will return to this motel!
Cons: Wish the room had had a tub.
Location: Recommended restaurant had amazing sea food. Not far at all from Newport.
We came for a polo match in Portsmouth and wanted to spend the next day in Newport. The room was a spacious suite with fridge, microwave, sink, dishes, TV, sofa, and shower.

New Extended Hotel Stay in Newport, RI

Pros: The cleanliness; which is expected for a new place. My bed was extremely comfortable. The front desk was eager to assist the guests.
Cons: Housekeeping staff if needed after 1or 2PM or inform the guests the schedule. Although very nice, the maintenance man shouldn't have this job.
Location: There isn't much to do nearby; however nothing is too far away in terms of markets, stores, etc. I had a car; however saw a Shuttle for downtown.
I liked the fact that this is one of the newer hotels in Newport and reasonably in priced when comparing other hotels for my stay. The majority of my experience was very positive here. Being in a hotel with extended stay amenities e.g. kitchen was most helpful for my needs. I thought Alisia (sp) was top notch for someone who hadn't been on staff very long. She was very professional and made everyone feel welcomed. The fitness room suited my needs as well. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! As long as the cleanliness of the hotel remains at a high caliber and the cost doesn't change when they become popular. A very minor issue; however if they are striving for perfection, it should be noted: I was never informed about the housekeeping schedule. I returned around 3PM to a room that hadn't been touched. The housekeeping staff should be honest and take accountability when missing a room. I called to address the issue and was told that housekeeping noted a DND on my door. My brother saw me remove the sign on the way out and tell a housekeeper my room request. She said "Ok, I'll tell your person." I opted not to have the sheets changed every night; however this was night #3. The maintenance man (very sweet and rather awkward) attempted to resolve the issue by bringing towels and bath amenities. He said he was the maintenance man a few times which I took as a sign that he was wiling; however it felt uncomfortable. I looked at him and told him that I would make my own bed.
