Great location, walk to waterfront.

Nice neighborhood, great to run/walk around town. B and B has added advantage that can park at their "mothership" on the cliff walk for easy access.

Perfect location in a quiet neighbourhood

A very nice & friendly place, walking distance from the buzz of Newport. The innkeeper is adorable and made us feel home. Our only regret is not to have asked her to turn off the AC as the draft was blowing right on the bed of the second room.

Cozy, great for couples

The room was cozy, the B&B was very quiet (only 5 rooms) and the innkeeper was friendly. The innkeeper kept promoting the Chanler, which happens to be related to La Farge Perry House - she was overly promoting a few other places (and felt like she was getting a kickback or something). But other than that, it was a good place and was a short walk from the shops and the wharf. We had a great time in Newport - plenty to do, see and eat (lots of eating!).

25th Anniversary stay

Posted Jan 4, 2015
Pros: The personal approach which made you feel you were home.
Cons: Nothing - except keeping it secret.
Location: The Newport Mansions
This hotel should be kept secret as once you have stayed you will want to keep the experience to yourself. The relaxed and friendly welcome remained throughout our stay, allowing you to feel as though you were in your own home. Breakfast is communal but this just adds to the relaxed atmosphere - everyone sharing conversation as though old friends rather than passing interactions that will be lost in time. The rooms are exceptional and each room had its own style that reflected the house and its history, whilst offering facilities that you would expect in high end accommodation.

Convenient, friendly and cozy!

Posted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: Convenient to mansions and Bellevue avenue. Cozy and true B&B. Great, spacious room!
Location: Mansion tours, cliff walk, downtown area by the water with lots of shops and restaurants. Old St. Mary's Church where JFK and Jackie got married.
La Farge Perry House was convenient in that it was a short drive to the Mansions and the fact that the Chanler Hotel owns it, allows you to park at their hotel (at no cost) for easy access to the Cliff Walk was amazing. Innkeeper was awesome and gave us tons of recommendations and easy instructions for breakfast and locks/keys. Stayed in the Master Suite which was a King bed and sitting area in one room, leads into a massive bathroom suite made of marble with spacious shower (2 shower heads), soaking tub and two separate vanities, leads to a separate toilet then into the 2nd bedroom with double/full bed.

Great Experience

This bed and breakfast was excellent in every aspect. From when you first walk in the in keeper was very very friendly and sat us down to walk through some great restaurants and sight seeing activities in Newport. The rooms were very clean and impressive and the beds were very comfortable. It felt like home and we both felt very comfortable just hanging around in the room for a few hours just to relax. Breakfast was great every morning and the inkeeper also made snacks (cookies and lemon pound cake) that she left out all day to snack on. Overall highly recommended and I will definitely be returning.
