Nice hotel, nicely situated, EXPENSIVEPosted Sep 2, 2015
Cons: Scrambled eggs not good- like hard pellets. I would like to see a chance in the recipe/cooking method. Waffle also too mushy on the outside.
Location: Surfing. Touring historic mansions. Hiking/walking the cliff walk.
Hotel is clean and smells nice. Love the amenities such as the hot breakfast, snack/ sundry shop, varies seating areas to enjoy complimentary breakfast. It was quite expensive at over $400 per night once you add up all the taxes and fees but seems comparable to other hotels in the area. Convenient location to Rite Aid, a grocery store, eateries, beach and the mansions. We didn't use the kitchen and ate out for every meal but it was nice having the fridge with a freezer for storing ice cream and a microwave for making popcorn.

A wonderful place to stay!Posted Sep 1, 2015
Pros: See above.
Cons: The cable TV.
Location: Brenton Point State Park is a must-visit just for the spectacular view and beachcombing alone. The kite-flying and quirky park vistors are fun too. :)
One of the best hotels I've stayed in ever--no exaggeration. Staying here was a vacation even before I did any leisure things. :) The staff was above-and-beyond helpful and responsive--major kudos to housekeeping especially for doing such a great job and being so fast on the draw when supplying items. :) Quiet; clean; very modern; to-die-for-beds and free breakfast--I have nothing but praise. Only one problem--selecting channels on the cable TV was a pain--very counter-intuitive. But if that's the worst thing one can say about a hotel, well, that says it all, right? :) Thank you for making my much-needed break twice as great.

Excellent hotel near everythingPosted Aug 23, 2015
Pros: The pool and hot tub. I also liked the activities the hotel had like a BBQ outside for the guests.
Location: Near all the sites and restaurants. Mansions are very close.
The hotel is just 10 minutes from anything you need to see or visit. Very clean rooms and hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast in the morning was also very nice with a very big selection of food. When we arrived the front desk employee helped us plan what to go see while visiting. The drive to the breakers mansion was under 15 minutes. Rooms are very clean and the cleaning staff kept it that way everyday.

Great location, immaculate & highly recommend!Posted Aug 19, 2015
Pros: Everything but most especially the layout of the suite for 4 adults and its cleanliness!
Cons: The mattresses on the sleeper sofa and cot need to be renewed.
Location: It was located about 10mins. outside historic Newport but close enough to walk to Middletown restaurants and shopping.
My husband and I stayed in the smaller suite with our 2 adult children and found it spacious and well laid out. Everything was very clean and all the staff pleasant & helpful. The only negative was the mattress on the sleeper sofa. It sagged in the middle so we rented a cot but found this too, was well worn but even with the cot we had space to move around our suite. The king mattress though was wonderful as were the pillows! The kitchen was well equipped and the a/c was quiet, NOT the type to come on and off waking you up with the change and noise! Our adult kids loved that the gym was open 24hrs! And we all loved the free breakfast offered each morning! There was such a variety of food that we had plenty to satisfy our individual tastes plus the coffee and tea station was kept open 24hrs! It was a great place and we'd love to return and spend another family vacation at The Residence Inn, Marriott.

Extremely clean and GREAT LOCATION!Posted Jun 9, 2015 on Hotels
Excellent location and great staff. The hotel is between 5-10 minutes (driving) from every attraction we wanted to see: The Cliff Walk, the mansions, helicopter tour, the fort, everything! The room was very clean and the set up was nice (live-in style room with fridge, oven, microwave, etc). I strongly recommend this hotel!
