This hotel is within walking distance of the Hampton Coliseum and Convention Center. That is a plus for sure. The staff was very nice both checking in and checking out. Maintenance came to our room to repair a clogged toilet and he was also very nice. The room was clean but the bedding was really wrinkled on one bed and it kind of looked like it had been slept in. There was a cigarette burn in the shower curtain and some damage to the walls as well. The sink drain plug was broken off and one of the light switches in the bathroom was very loose making me worry about fire safety. The door to our room did not latch well and without specific effort, it did not lock when the door closed. The cable was out all but the first night of our stay so we couldn't use the television. Our room was very noisy due to outside traffic noise as well as the VERY loud slamming of the door to the stairway which was right next door. The beds and pillows were comfortable so once the noise died down, I was able to sleep well. The housekeeping staff knocked on our door three times the morning of check out. Kind of annoying as we were trying to sleep in and told her after the first time we would be checking out around 11. Overall, due to location and price, I would stay here again but there are definite improvements that can be made.

Location: We were there because of an appointment with the VA. Our appointment was for the next day and this saved us the traffic that is so common here.
Room was fine and staff courteous. Breakfast left much to be desired. Eggs tasteless. Husband said they were like powdered eggs he had in the Navy. Sausage tasted like soy.

Room had mold. Smelled like mold. If you care about your health, go somewhere else!

overall it was very nice except my sister and I had money stolen from our wallets and it was Fri Aug26 th only day the maid came into our room , We reported it but of course nothing can be done . I am not in a finacial position to loose $80 on vacation .

Overall a very nice stay. They could use a second elavator as well as a bigger lobby with more seating, it gets very crowded during breakfast time.
