Hotel is in disrepair

The room had several areas in the bathroom that were damaged from moisture. There was a closet frame that had exposed damaged wood. The bedspread was lumpy as well as the mattress. I was not comfortable staying at this hotel.

the pillows and mattress were terrible and they did not have a hot tub as advertised. Breakfast was fine and the place was clean. Maids children playing in nest room while se worked and walls were paper thin.

Close to Ft. Eustis

We have stayed here multiple times. Never a problem with staff. If there was a problem with room, staff worked to fix it. Nice room at most recent stay. Hotel is working on a lot of upgrades. Would highly recommend.

The hotel staff is wonderful, however, the hot tub has been closed for four years but was a major factor in deciding this hotel. The rooms were clean but not vacuumed every day. The pillows are smaller in comparison to other pillows. I feel that for what you get, club Carlson should lower their rates. Country Inn as a whole is not worth the price that it listed for. However, the staff were so nice and will actually engage with you, which is nice. The breakfast is good but the chain as a while should up the quality to go along with room rates. The location is great because it’s close to peninsula Towne center.

Good location... Going through some renovations

Pros: I like the location.
Cons: Need some furniture upgrades
Location: Awesome location. Strip mall right across the street. Right off the highway. Plenty of places to eat.
Got to check in early. Room was a nice size. Came down to spend some time with grand daughters. Made this reservation at this hotel because of the indoor pool. Got there and found out that the pool was out of order. We did not have any problem. Getting our money back and getting a reservation at a different location. Staff was great!

Pros: Breakfast included.
Cons: A. It more attention to detail when cleaning,fix the pool,clean up the stairwell ( which also smelled like cigarette smoke)
Just needed a quick overnight stay , and this hotel was fine for that. It was just OK. The room was fine , but average. The tissues were empty and had not been replaced . The sink was cracked. The pool was not working. I always use the stairs and the stairwell was not clean . The door to the outside was stuck .

Give me one more chance

I’ve stayed here many times in the past but this stay was one to forget. There was a pipe break in the lobby ceiling. Apparently I was supposed to be out of the hotel, but no one told me until I tried to eat breakfast the next morning (and there was none). It looks like some of good staff has left too. I probably will give them a chance to redeem themselves because it has always been a great option in the past.
