Torn bed skirts on both beds - shabby look

Pros: Not much
Overall disappointing experience. We had booked the room for 3 adults but they had provided towels, coffee cups etc for just two people. Room had a shabby look. I was expecting something more from crowne plaza.

Convenient location and great atmosphere

This hotel is only minutes from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, and provides a great, quiet location with easy access to restaurants and pubs along Queen's Way. The atmosphere is great, with a strong nautical theme throughout. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. While you are here, have a drink or a good meal overlooking to harbor.

Horrible Experience

Well, when my husband and I checked in, the hotel manager stated that they were booked up and didn't have a room for us. I paid Expedia for the room when I made the reservations. Who does something like this -- informing me that they were booked. I was so disappointed.

Close to Hampton University

Older hotel, need updates. Connect to parking garage, rooms needs painting, refrigerator and microwave should be an amenity and hotel should provide at least a continental breakfast. Also need liquid shower jel. Also need more luggage carts to accomodate guest. I was impressed with the bedding, TV, room type and comfort of room. View of waterfront was nice.

A few minor problems, but staff tried to fix them

Pros: Beautiful view, nice lobby, great food, courteous staff.
Cons: Several things
I had some issues with the first two rooms they placed me in, but on the third try they got it right. On the first morning of my stay (I had checked in the night before), I used the iron in my room to press a favorite shirt of mine and the iron left a stain. The staff offered to send it out to their cleaners to try to remove the stain, but on the following morning when I went to reclaim my shirt, I was told that the cleaners had just picked it up. It was not ready before I checked out and caught my plane back to Tennessee. Hopefully, they will get it to me by mail, as promised.

This hotel is very run down. The bathroom was dirty and the countertops were sticky. Would never go back!

Nice hotel

Pros: The location was awesome. There were even a few bars within walking distance. Not to mention the one on the first floor.
I wasn't excited about the long wait in line to check in. But the receptionist was polite. The room was relatively clean with the exception of the bathroom.

Great location

Pros: Staff!!!!
Cons: Drinks are pretty pricey!!!
Location: Great Local Restaurants, Museums and Day Cruises... FYI go to the Hampton Museum and buy the Package call Sea and Space for $39.00.
Restaurant staff was nice (Sarah out server) but not THE CHEF will not accomodate you if you want to subtitute Fries instead of Vegetables for dinner....ODD!!! if fries are on the menu. Breakfast staff very nice. Bar staff (Eric and Sonny) Great Guys Nice Front Desk Staff but lack of knowledge of the surrounding areas ...so get the local advertisement magazines. FYI if you tip your roomservice attendant...... TIP THEM DIRECTLY....Hospitality management personal skim the rooms for tips. NO CLASS!!!

Hotel is a nice. It's a little old, and their elevators are really slow. They also broke down while I was there. Rooms are nice with a nice view. Overall great value
