Great place to stay!

Posted Nov 27, 2016
Cons: Restaurant coffee.
We had a very pleasant visit. The hotel staff and accommodations were wonderful. The only negative was the hotel restaurant coffee was horrible! However, the room had a Keurig coffee maker which makes great coffee! That was an especially nice touch!

Outstanding 3-Star Hotel

Posted Aug 3, 2016
Check-in and out was non existent with Expedia. I called ahead for late check in and once I walked in the front desk staff member greeted us, handed me my room keys, and we were in our rooms in minutes. Check out was as simple as, have a good day! The hotel is situated in the middle of Newport News/Hampton commercial area. The neighborhood is so populated with stores and dining that your options for both are endless. Wr weren't expecting the indoor pool or the lavishly decorated lobby. The hotel really boosts a high decor. The room was average size and the bathroom was small and awkwardly later out. Also there was a typical stale room smell. The room was very clean and I was easily able to overlook these minute observations by getting out and exploring the area and spraying some febreze. Complimentary wifi got the job done. I will definitely stay in this hotel when I visit the area again. It was well worth the money and well worth 3-stars if not deserving more.

Location: Good location for visiting Christopher Newport University.
Nice, clean hotel. Good facilities. Breakfast was good but you do have to pay for it.

My new favorite place to stay in Newport News

Posted Nov 22, 2015
Pros: Location Service Safety Appearance/cleanliness
Cons: Internet service
Location: Plenty of restaurants and a movie theater
Incredibly helpful, friendly and welcoming staff here! The hotel was quiet and well-located for easy-off and easy-on Hwy 64. It's close to restaurants and stores - but It is tucked away, though. You'll need to navigate around a shopping center parking lot. Even though I arrived early, my room was ready and in great shape. (The only flaw was no sugar or stir sticks for the in-room coffeemaker.) There was one major frustration: the internet service. I was intermittently connected to the complimentary service, and was unable to connect to the premium/paid service. (The error message was "unable to confirm your room number and name!) To their credit, the staff walked me through it several times and offered to send someone up to help, but I declined. An important note: I wa traveling by myself and felt safe and secure here. Thanks for a relaxing stay. I'll be back.

Messy access to highway

Nice hotel...clean and quiet with ample parking. The only complaint is that we had to pay for the breakfast. Not an anticipated expense. But the food was good and made to order.
