Overnight Stay

Location: Near to the Mariners Museum
Everything was very pleasing with our one-night stay. The full course breakfast the next morning was very enjoyable.

Nice hotel

The room was nice just didn't like the shower in the bathroom and the toilet made to much noise when you flush it

Thank you for reviewing our property. We do understand those showers are a hit or miss. Some people LOVE it and some just do notlike them. We do have bath tubs available as well. So, on your next visit please request a bath tub. We are happy to accommodate! We will also be searching for that loud toilet.

At 6pm there was a line of people to check in and they didn't have rooms ready. If I have a reservation and it's several hours past when I can check in, my room should be ready.

Old and tired

Desk clerk handed me the key and went back to her computer. Breakfast was all carbs. The first day oatmeal was the only healthy option, no yogurt, fruit, etc. The towels were dingy, toilet paper never folded, and holes in the hall carpet outside our door. The bed was comfortable and no sign of bed bugs, both pluses!

I checked in pretty late in the evening. The desk staffer was new but the experienced staffer stayed to assist her during my check in. It was quick and easy. They were both very friendly. Every time I walked through the lobby I was greeted with a smile and a “hello.”

Went to Newport News for a concert at the Ferguson Center. The hotel was nearby. Our first room appeared to have been "occupied", perhaps by the employees? Anyway, the cooling unit was broken. The front desk immediately changed our room. The next room was spacious and appeared to be clean, but the furnishings are old and the overall impression is one of gloominess. The hotel desperately needs refurbishing. The breakfast is not as good as most of the hotels we have been in recently. The hot portion was do it yourself waffle maker and hard boiled eggs. TV was okay and plenty of stations, plus HBO. Indoor pool looked good but we did not have time to use it.
