The room size is great. I was impressed at a larger mini refrigerator than most hotels have. We stayed in a single room and felt comfortable. The staff were amazing! Desk staff could not have been more helpful and checking in and out was a breeze. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was delicious. I loved the options at breakfast from baked goods, cereal and toast, to waffles, sausage and biscuits and gravy. The OJ seemed a little watered down, but the coffee was good! I would definitely book here again!

Price and location were good. Internet was sporadic and noise was moderate at times.

Pros: Everything. Clean environment, friendly staff, from front desk etc.... Clean comfortable rooms, excellent service.
Cons: Great that you accommodate pets. How about pet free floors / rooms?
Location: Did not experience.
Pleasant experience and friendly staff. Thanks for breakfast! How about bacon and eggs w/ grits for breakfast!.?

Thank you for such a decorated review. We do have rooms that accommodate pets. We also have a floor that pets are not permitted. We do switch breakfast meat sometimes and have bacon instead of our usual sausage, but we always have grits and eggs.

Hotel staff was very friendly. Only thing I will say is that the bathrooms were not very clean in the rooms. Some Clorox Clean up would do wonders for the mold that is on all the caulk in the bathroom bathtubs other than that it was a nice place and the staff was very nice and friendly.

Bed bugs

Posted Jul 11, 2016 on Hotels
Arrived at hotel a little before 6pm, waited 30-45 mins for room (was not ready upon arrival although check in is at 3pm), found a bedbug:+\. Reported to Front Desk Receptionist. She stated that the Manager would follow up and have an inspection done of the room. My husband showed the receptionist the bedbug. Also, took pics of multiple sites on his body where he was bitten. Overall, check in process was not good nor was check out. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

We apologize for your poor experience. This is not typical of our hotel. We did thoroughly have your room inspected and there were no findings but they do travel so it is possible he was a "hitchhiker" so we did have the room treated for any potential issues. Thank you for taking the time to speak with me and then also taking the time to write a review. Again, we sincerely apologize and will be contacting you at the email you provided per our conversation.

Centralized hotel location for historical sites.

Posted Jul 5, 2016
Pros: The location, the quiet atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. All of the staff went beyond the call of duty to accommodate us during our stay.
Cons: The shower curtain in room 204 had soap scum on the bottom of it and needed to be taken down and either washed or replaced.
Location: We did not experience a dull moment. The shopping malls and the historic sites were everywhere. The trip to Colonial Williamsburg took us back in time
The Jameson Inn is located close to shopping malls and historic sites. During our stay we made trips to historic sites such as Colonial Williamsburg,Yorktown and Norfolk and returned to the Jameson Inn at the end of each day. Shopping malls with Kroger stores, Wal-Mart and K-mart were located nearby and enabled us to shop for anything and everything that was needed or wanted. The continental breakfast far exceeded our expectations. I was figuring on bagels and muffins, but there was a full continental breakfast choice from cold cereals to hot waffles to gravy and biscuits that was delicious and fresh every morning! The rooms were spacious with very comfortable furniture and beds. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The staff was friendly and my first impression was made by the young lady who greeted me the night that I walked into the Inn to check in. Her hospitality and friendliness started the stay off just right and continued throughout the week. It was one of the most comfortable and welcoming experiences that I have encountered.
