Close to Hampton University

Pros: The Staff is amazing
Cons: Update rooms and front desk area
Location: Very close to Hampton University ( 8 mins away), if you are new college parent close to stores to shop.
Staff is very kind and helpful. Cleaning staff is super sweet. Hotel needs updating. 8th floor rooms are HUGE and spacious.

Nothing fancy, but adequate.

Room was comfortable, but there is a terrible amount of road noise coming from Mercury Blvd. Could use some sprucing up and repair work as my room had some peeling of the popcorn ceiling and damaged walls. The staff was courteous and accommodating.

Hotel is close to many places to dine or shop.

Pros: Location. How clean it was. That it was quiet.
Cons: More lighting outside around Hotel, especially for persons with pets having to go out late or early in AM.
We had no problem checking in with our dog. We were put on the first floor which was convenient for us to take the dog out. Room was very clean. There was a microwave, refrigerator and safe in the room. No noise. Staff was very friendly. Nice inside pool. Wish I took my suit with me. Overall we would stay again if the circumstances arrive.

Good hotel for a short stay.

Pros: I have stayed at this hotel for Nekocon many times in the past, and had high hopes. I enjoy most the comfy beds, room amenities, and the breakfast.
Cons: I was surprised by the staff, who never greeted us whenever my friend and I entered the hotel lobby during the whole weekend. During check-in there was another staff member trying to have a conversation with the clerk as she was checking me in, which was highly annoying and rude. The clerk apologized, but the other staff member did not. I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past, and had great stays. This stay was not like those other times I remember. That was back when it was the Clarion, which may have to do with the change in atmosphere. It did not seem as special as my previous stays.
Location: Nekocon at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in November, Hampton Colosseum is nearby, and lots of shops and restaurants in the Newport News area

Have a lot of work to do.

Our stay was a challenge. We were there with two toddler grandchildren. We did not always feel safe. Constant partying in parking lot. Drunks approaching us and staff saying it is continuous problem with these people. Party in room above us waking us up and the children on our last night and us having no sleep and having to drive 12hours. The staff was very friendly. The coffee was the worst I have ever had and I had to go out and purchase it daily which is a huge inconvenience and a deal breaker for me coming back. I enjoy fresh coffee relaxing in the morning could not do that. You should get rid of the watered down bag coffee and brew pots.

I really enjoyed myself at this hotel breakfast was excellent everything was clean and the staff was polite. I would come back and stay again and I would recommend my friends. Thank you Guys so much.
