Not Worth the Savings

Posted May 26, 2014
The layout and the size of the room was great. However, the cleanliness was horrible. There were stains on the towels, walls, doors, sheets, curtains, everywhere. The bathroom had not been mopped for weeks and the mirror had toothpaste splatters all over. I had to wipe everything down with Clorox wipes. There was debris all over the carpet showing it hadn't been vacuumed for quite some time. Pay a little more for a cleaner hotel.

Very Close to Fort Eustis

The overall stay was good. The rooms weren't as clean as they could be, and we had some issues with the room when we first got there, but the staff promptly got on my complaints, and seen that we were satisfied the rest of the stay.

Pretty gross, but you get what you pay for

Cheap cheap is why I stayed here. Even with low expectations I was pretty shocked at the amount of pubic hair on almost all the towels

It was awful, the room smelled of wet cigerates, the bathroom door was falling off the hindges the sheets where stained as well as the towels. We had two adults staying in the room with enough towels for one the kitchen sink leaked the stove was missing a dial and the oven did not work. I purchased food that i had to throw out due to no oven. The floor tiles where lose, the remotes for the tv did not work so I would have to stand there and change the channel. The windows would not open to let fresh air in.

Needs Work!

Posted Aug 13, 2013
Pros: Absolutely NOTHING
Cons: They need a new housekeeper and they should hire a general maintenance man!
Location: It was only 15 miles from Bush Gardens which is what actually attracted me to the room!
The room would have been just what we were looking for if it had been kept up properly. There was a sofa bed, kitchen area, and a bedroom. So the kids didn't have to be in the same room as us, which would have been great if the sofa bed had sheets on it. Instead it was a plastic mattress cover. The hallway had tile flooring and the tiles were coming up which made it hard for my 1 yr old to walk or crawl on! The kitchen was full service and when traveling with a toddler its very convenient but there was long black hairs all in the refrigerator!! There was a coffee pot and 1 paper cup which had previously been used and turned upside down and put back! The bed in the "master" bedroom probably hadn't had the sheets changed in a month! They were filthy and also covered in hair. The "clean" towels hanging had yellow spots and hairs all over them! Thank GOD we brought our own pillows and bedding. When I called to complain the manager said there was nothing she would do except send us up more towels. We had to stay because we couldn't afford to lose the money already paid on the room plus paying for a new hotel. They refused to refund my money! I knew the rating wasn't very good to begin with but I thought maybe it wasn't as bad as it seemed because people usually review the negative but not the positive. No, It was that bad!! Very disappointing!

You get what you pay for

If you want a place to sleep, watch some TV and shower - this place is fine, but don't expect it to be a hidden gem. It's older, pushing the limit on clean and hidden from everything. There is no breakfast like the description said. It's a place for solders to stay on temporary assignments and no more. Barebones.

Close to the base - Room not clean

Posted Jul 30, 2013 on Hotels
I was there for my son's graduation at Fort Eustis so it was very close to the base. It was an older hotel, but the people were nice. The room was a nice size, but there were three plug in's. Way to much cover up. The bathroom was not clean. There was hair in the tub and on the floor. Probably will not stay here again.
