I went to a concert at Fenway and wanted a reasonably good hotel room to spend the night rather than making the ride home after a long day. The Newton Boston Marriott was affordably priced and even though it had mixed reviews online, I have ridden by it on Rt 128 and Commonwealth Ave for years, I chose to book a room. It is easy to get to. Great location to get into Boston, Chestnut Hill or head to the Natick Mall and good access to all colleges. Self parking. Starbucks in the lobby. I have stayed in downtown Boston and paid more for comparable amenities. I would recommend this hotel to all. They have a workout room and an indoor pool. And after staying here and assessing where the negative reviews came from, I saw nothing in my stay to complain about. The nicest part of this hotel is that it is a quality hotel in a quiet, town setting. Lots of trees and along a river setting. And meets all the major roadways in the state. Near Rt 9, Rt 30, Rt 90 (Mass Pike), Rt128/95.
