Very close to Boston Harbor area

Posted Aug 12, 2016
Couldn't get a room anywhere near the Harbor front to meet family coming in from a cruise. Great value. Public areas need updating, but room was very nice, clean and comfy for the price. Parking is very steep, as it is all over Boston $30. Suggest using only garage /lot parking in Boston, not street. Signage is terrible and ticketing is rampant. Use BEST PARKING APP for Boston or any major city.

Dear Paulie, Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. We're so pleased you found the room comfortable. We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the style of our public space. We underwent a large renovation just 2 years ago which included our lobby and most public space! Parking in the area is expensive, but we do try to limit the inconvenience by allowing full in and out access as well as billing through your hotel room. We hope you will come and see us again and thank you for your feedback. Warmly, Crowne Plaza Newton Guest Service Team

Nice hotel. Not far from downtown Boston

Posted Aug 5, 2016
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were clean and neat. The hotel was only about 11 minutes away by cab or uber to downtown Boston when it was not rush hour.

Nice room, great staff who shared good info.

Posted Aug 4, 2016
Pros: The staff was great! I liked the transportation info and how quiet the hotel was.
Cons: Wish you all had a refrigerator in the room.
Location: A little map would have been nice to have of Newton and things nearby. We did find places and asked questions at the desk that were answered.
Nice place. Clean rooms and very helpful and courteous staff. I liked how quiet it was and the coffeemaker in the room. The staff helped us connect to Uber, how to maneuver bus and subway and brought us an extra coffee cup! The rooms were nice and clean and the facilities were great.

The one drawback with this hotel is you have to pay for parking. I've never had to pay for parking at any hotel I've ever stayed at.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. We are very happy to hear that your stay was an enjoyable one, overall. While many suburban hotels have their own parking area, as we are in a busier area with limited space we pay to utilize spots in the public parking garage adjacent to the hotel. Rather than inflate our room price to cover the cost for all guests, we pass along the parking charge to those guests utilizing a spot and try to minimize the inconvenience by allowing in and out access and billing the fee through your hotel room. We thank you for your understanding and hope to have a chance to welcome you back. Warm Regards, Crowne Plaza Newton Guest Service Team

Welcomed the restful night I had

Posted Jul 24, 2016
Pros: Clean and friendly. Not overly posh.
Cons: More price options for breakfast.
Location: I was there for a meeting. No concern with things to do nearby.
The hotel was great, room was fine. The breakfast buffet was quite expensive. I only wanted eggs and a roll with coffee and juice, but was billed as though I ate everything offered.

Dear Guest, We are truly sorry to hear this! It has been a very warm and muggy couple of weeks in Boston and we understand how important being able to cool down in those conditions is. Great place for folks with cars.

Posted Jul 18, 2016
Pros: The room was clean and up to date.
Cons: I would go back if there was hotel transportation into the city beginning at North Station where you can pick up Amtrak.
Location: Location is remote. It is all inclusive.
I booked this hotel because the price was right and it claimed to be close to Fenway. Actually several blocks of walking, subway, and bus finally got us close to hotel but not the front door. It took about an hour. It's a 20 dollar uber ride to North Station. So although it is an excellent hotel built on top of highway 90, I would consider not your best option if you want to walk the city.

Dear Miss M, Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with feedback. While we're pleased to hear you were satisfied with the hotel and your guest room we are truly sorry for the inconvenience you experienced getting to Fenway. There is a MBTA Express Bus- 57 Bus. This MBTA service picks up directly across from our hotel goes to Kenmore Square and is the easiest way to get to Fenway Park. It picks up every 25 to 30 minutes and costs $2.75 per person. We would certainly agree that we are not a walkable distance from downtown! We do hope you'll come and see us again and thank you once again for your feedback.
