Lovely Place to Stay

Posted Sep 25, 2017
Cons: The coffee in the room was very weak (tasted like swamp water). The soap provided was scratchy, the shampoo was lovely but there was no conditioner
The hotel was clean, modern, and close to everything. We could walk to the falls and Clifton Hill, dinner, and entertainment. Check-in was easy, but there was a hidden charge for parking - $12/day, which is about average for the area, especially given the proximity to Clifton Hill.

Uncomfortable room 309

Posted Sep 24, 2017
Pros: It was very clean - newly remodeled.
Cons: Put in a table and chair. Fix the shower track. Add more hangers. Clean up the elevator.
Location: Close to the amusement area. Small restaurant in hotel - great for breakfast.
The name changed from Imperial to Vittoria a few days before we arrived. We booked the junior suite but that's not what we got. The hotel was just remodeled. I was expected a separate area with sofa, chair, table, TV, etc. There was no chair, no table - nothing. TV was over the bed and awkward to watch from the sofa. I went down to the desk and she said that's what all junior suites were like. Room 309 was not designed efficiently. As soon as you opened the door you looked at the bathroom sink, and there was no door to close it off. Who wants to look at bathroom toiletries when you enter the hotel room? No place to hang used towels. The shower door did not have a track so water ran out onto the floor. Four wooden hangers in the closet. I've stayed in some of the worst hotels and some of the best hotels, but this was the most uncomfortable room I've ever stayed in. Nothing bad, just uncomfortable and awkward.

A good value hotel. Bedroom was very spacious and altogether a hotel to which we would be happy to return to.

Pros: This hotel is surrounded by so much to do.
Cons: I requested a microwave for my room. It was not clean or fit to use. I would like to be asked what view from the window, it would be nice if I had a
Location: quite a few things. I'm quite sure you know.
First I register with The Imperial Hotel and Suite about two weeks ago. I arrived Thursday Sept the 14th and could not find the Imperial Hotel. So I drove around for about ten minutes looking for the place, there was not an address on the building. Well we found out it was change to the Victoria Hotel and Suite. But when we went in to check in, we was pleased with the new look, smell and the very nice staff. The room was very nice. Next time I will ask for a street view of Victoria street.

Nice hotel close to Clifton Hill

Posted Sep 14, 2017
Pros: Close to restaurants and attractions. Newly renovated rooms. Friendly and efficient staff.
Cons: Elevators need to be updated.
Location: Right near the top of Clifton Hill. Many restaurants and attractions nearby. 15 minute walk to the riverside and falls view.
The hotel was recently renovated and renamed to The Vittoria. Staff was friendly and efficient for check in. $12 to park overnight. Elevators were not renovated and are old and worn down looking. Slow but got you to where you need to be. Room was quite nice. Everything pretty new and updated. 5 minute walk to Clifton Hill where there are many restaurants and attractions.
