Nice hotel in walking distant to everything.

Posted Aug 29, 2016
Pros: The quirkiness and the artwork on display.
Cons: Towels could be newer.
Location: Handy walk to everything nearby.
We booked 2 rooms, I stayed in the attic room, it was lovely quite spacious. However the garden room with the 3 singles was smelly and needed airing. A great location away from all the hustle and bustle. Breakfast was way too expensive as works out cheaper to buy from the supermarket down the road.

Good value for money close to the train station

Posted Jul 6, 2016
Pros: Great location, good value for money
Cons: Spaciousness, cooling
The hotel is good value for money in a great location. The rooms are small, but that's too be expected given the foregoing.

Overnight stay

Posted Jun 20, 2016
Pros: It was cute and an oasis in a busy town
Cons: See above
Location: No chance to find out as we flew out the next day. Had planned to explore but train delay forbade that
Hotel easy to find especially after train delayed 21/2 hours. Receptions staff were friendly and helpful. didn't meet any other staff. Suggest that shower curtains could be used to minimise water on the floor. I really really really like it when tea and coffee facilities are available in the room.

very good location, close to train station

Pros: the location and price and orange garden
Cons: needs a bar
Location: on edge of Nice but walkabet to centre of town with plenty of bars, restaurants etc. Also very close to train station for trips to Monte Carlo .
good hotel close to centre and port. Nicely decorated rooms which were very quiet - got two great nights sleep!

Nice hotel, very close to Nice station.

Posted Apr 11, 2016
Lovely but quirky, nice hotel that would revisit. Parking a slight issue, few spaces, so when you get one, keep it! All reception staff are fantastic and very helpful. Would recommend room 116 as it is a massive family room with lovely view over the courtyard. But best of all is Blanche, the hotel cat who lives in reception!

Perfect for a stay near the rail station

Posted Oct 7, 2015
Pros: Almost everything
Cons: Clearer sign on corner where we turn to get to hotel; present sign says the parking is down that street, not necessarily the hotel entrance also
Location: As close as you would want to be to the train station, and an easy walk straight down the street to get to the sea
We picked this because of its proximity to the central rail station in Nice, but it is worthy of being picked on its own merits, whatever the location. The only drawback is that you must cross the street and go down a fairly steep ramp before walking a per block to the hotel from the station. If you can not walk with your luggage in such conditions, then you might prefer to stay at a hotel further away, because it would seem silly to take a taxi this short distance. But the courtyard is charming, and the fact that the hotel is sort of in the middle of a block, without any streets alongside it, means that it is a quiet place as long as your neighbors are quiet (not the thickest walls between rooms). The lift is a plus also.

poor condition with tolerable prices

I paired 73 euro. I use this hotel as price and closeness to train station. The room was too small.

wonderful experience save for the parking situation. you are better off parking in the public lot two blocks away.

Good value except a/c did not work

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: Location is reasonably central and within moderate walking distance of everything of interest.
Cons: Air conditioning
A minimal hotel consistent with the room rate. A/C failure may be confined to our room. Rooms are small but adequate.
