My first time in Nice, South of France.

I had a lovely stay at the Excelsior. The breakfast was good and varied as far as a continental breakfast goes. The staff were lovely and very helpful all the time. I found the room very comfortable if a little smaller than I expected as both my husband and myself are quite tall. The Bathroom facilities very good and the room was cleaned every day. It was very near the main station and tourist office, which was very useful. The area was alright and felt fairly safe but could be busy during the day and perhaps a little empty at night if walking back on your own. It was a good 10- 15 minute walk to the beach. If you are fit and healthy this was fine but perhaps not a good distance for an guest having difficulty walking as there are a lot of crossings before arriving at the Promenade de Anglais and the traffic could be heavy during the day and not always fine at stopping at red lights. The old town was lovely and the restaurant foods very good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and you will have a pleasant stay. We did have a slight issue when the hotel charged us for a couple of drinks ie: 1 whiskey and 2 wines we did not ask for and thought were on the house, as they were brought to our table without us asking. We thought they were being thoughtful but I suppose we should have checked. The little garden at the back of the hotel is lovely.

Good for city break

Nice modern hotel. Staff always went the extra mile. Wifi variable- needed a new code if you logged out, even if you just out phone on flight mode whilst you slept! Close to station

Veldig bra hotell

Ble møtt av service innstilt og hyggelig franske men engelsktalende personale. Rask innsjekking til ett hyggelig rom med utsikt. God frokost. Det tar ca.12 minutter og gå ned til stranda og fem minutter til 'handlegate', shopping og restauranter bare noen minutter og gå. Hotell personalet var hele tiden hjelpsom med informasjon etc. Kan anbefale dette hotellet.

位置不錯,很近火車站,不過由於尼斯正值巴士停駛,由機場來會很痛苦。 酒店本身很不錯,每早有自助早餐,法式風味 唯距離海灘很遠,如果要玩水上活動的人士不建議住在這邊。

足りない部分も少しあるけど値段を考慮すれば大健闘

二階のスーペリアタイプに2名で宿泊。 スタッフは英語が話せるし、親切。 部屋は値段から想像していたよりもかなり広く、2つのスーツケースを広げて、2人が歩き回りながら荷造りすることも楽々可能です。 天井も高く、私たちの部屋は小さい中庭に面していて日当たりも悪くありませんでした。 バスタブはなし。空調は適温。部屋に冷蔵庫はあるがポットはなし。 綺麗にリノベーションされて内装も可愛いし、掃除は行き届いていますが、水回りなどリノベーション前の古い部屋の痕跡が残る部分は少し残念。 でもタオルの乾燥棒が超強力で、濡れた厚手の洗濯物も一晩かけておいたらフカフカのカラカラになりました。 駅近くを決めてに選んだのですが、ホテルから駅までの道が、近いとはいえ、急な坂道と段差と階段で、大きい荷物の私には辛かったです。手持ちで運べるくらいの荷物で泊まっていれば、すごく良いホテルと言えたかも。

Value for money spent.

Pros: Location and room comfort.
Cons: B'fast selection
Location: 20mins walk to the main shopping strip and Ocean. 5min walk to the local train station.
Good location, nice but basic B'fast Buffet. Room was extremely comfortable and more than meet my needs. Comfy bed and a nice rain shower experience.
